What spec for wife? Specific

Ok, so my wife is finally ready to get back into game after 3 years away. Starting a new account. She was all set and then last night she watched me solo clear Mythic Legion raids on 3 separate specs and now she asked me to ask you guys for help on picking her spec.

  • She does NOT want to be a Hunter or DH, period

  • She does NOT want to be a healer, period

  • She DOES want to run Mythic Legion raids, farm mounts, farm mogs, toys, reps and do basic questing progression. Nothing else. No M+, No raids…definitely NO PVP. How she phrases it, “All the cute stuff.”

She wants a DPS class and here is the confusion - So soloing many of the bosses of Legion Raids last night on Mythic with a 244 BM hunter, 243 Havoc DH and 240 Holy Pal was VERY different on all the fights. the Hunter tore through every Mythic Raid boss… the DH had a lot of probs here and there and the Paladin took FOREVER on some kills (yeah I get it, a healer) - So anyway, it just created a conversation between us on what spec will be best for her to do all she wants to do the easiest?

“Have her play what she likes” has been already been discussed, and no answer is why we are here.

What spec or class, other than DH or Hunter, would be best for her gaming experience mentioned above to do all that the easiest and most effective (fast and clean)?

Jeesh I hope that makes any sense.

The answer for anyone that can’t decide is “Druid.” They’re the Jack of all trades.

Yeah, the ONLY thing she doesn’t like about it is the forms and she wants to be a MOG farmer to show off her outfits… but yeah, its a good suggestion.

Go for a druid. Can’t go wrong. They are strong tanks, strong dps, and if she ever chooses they are “ok” healers.

Entirely a question of which armour class and weapon types she likes the look of.

Monk is great for old-raid and mount farming because of their built in movement speed and aoe.

Even if you don’t play WW spec much, its probably one of the most convenient ways of clearing old raids with 10% movement speed + chi torpedo, + crane kick.

This is a good question, especially since you said mogs are important.

“Tell Keldar I love him” was her response. She never even thought about looking at it that way. Now she is pouring a glass of wine and going to go through all the MOG threads… GREAT idea. Let’s hope that works.

Hey, maybe not the time to make a sexist joke on the forums, ding-dong.

Any plate dps best mog

As s note, since 4 classes can wear leather, they have the most variety. 3 classes can wear cloth and plate, mail only 2

DEMON HUNTERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MAIL IT MESSED THE WHOLE BALANCE UP.

Is there an offsite that shows a bunch of cool MOG’s quickly and efficiently… or the most liked or something for each spec?

Wowhead has articles like this:

DK or Pally, being plate wearers and immortal in tank spec.

Warlocks are “tanky” with solid DPS if she doesn’t mind the “other” pet class.

Ranged is also easier to play for many.

DK is typically the best choice for soloing things. Particularly in blood spec as you just live through everything. Unholy has amazing huge ST burst too if needed.

So sad too, we used to be great healers, now I main a tank :frowning:

But (IMO) the most fun healers.

I’m hesitant to suggest a specific class, but for transmog purposes, don’t count Warrior out - they can unlock all weapons sans Glaives and Wands. That’s a huge plus.

Druid. Need high dps, but also need to be able to heal some stuff.
