Coming back to lock from a break
Affliction with void walker is pretty easy. Probably use Hell Caller to level with wither, pretty nasty spell tab dotting with your tank pet.
But really whatever you want, leveling isn’t hard at all.
I levelled as diabolist destruction.
Pick Shadowburn and all the talents that guarantee and increase its damage, and you’ll be killing everything super quick. I rarely had to stand still and cast with that build because either the shadowburn killed them or the demon who’d proc from it would finish them off.

Demo, Diabolist… endless demon army to solo most of the PvE world content.
My Affliction Soul Harvester and Destro Hellcaller also hit really hard… I honestly have been switching back and forth between the 3 specs and Hero combos. Also the new VFX are really eye catching IMO, with a few exceptions spells, but that’s just me nitpicking because I play other games version of these type of class.
All and all I’m having fun with the 3 specs so far…
Any answer people give will be pre-leveling nerfs so it won’t actually help u much.
Pre-nerf with gear hellcaller destro (shadowburn build) was best for questing, you’d dot everything and shadowburn nearly one shots mobs then resets on kill so you can chain 1shots.
All that’s gonna change post nerf ( tomorrow).
In general i’d avoid diabolist destro, it’s not a great leveling spec since you want to clear multiple mobs at once or chain pull while moving.
In such a case hellcaller aff or destro can be smoother, demo also works well if you’re geared, i’d avoid it if u aren’t coz long casts sux.
Also , don’t use a voidwalker plz it’s useless and cant hold aggro. If you want an actual tank pet play demo.

Leveled as demo diabolist, running around with a small army and a tanky felguard for once felt nice. Kept machine gunning demonbolts with a power siphon for a quick pull and it felt pretty decent.

Getting 1.3mil crits with overlord and 1.8mil crits aoe with ruination are just too juicy.
