What spec are you easily clearing Torghast with?

I’m leaning towards resto myself, but I don’t have a good dps 2h’er to try out guardian. The speed is there with resto and the survivability is superior.

Guardian seems easiest but I haven’t tried feral

Guardian has been pretty easy. Not sure what it is like after the additional changes.

7 (pre-change) was pretty tough. Couldn’t get past the last boss, not enough interrupts.

With the changes feral was laughably easy. Made it through a layer 7 and 8 without dipping below 50% hp a single time and that was doing full clears. Plus the 8 I cleared it in less than 30 minutes when it used to take me over an hour for a full clwar

The recent changes to Torghast makes it a lot easier now. Feral can obliterate everything. I did a Layer 6 run yesterday and had the following powers.

120% extra damage on Rip or Rake.
50% extra damage if 3 dots were up on the target.
400% extra damage on Shred, Wrath or Regrowth after a shapeshift.
30% extra damage on Ferocious Bites with additional talent (Blood Talons).
60% extra damage on Ferocious Bites.

The last boss had about 470k HP and he just melted.

I cleared both layer 8’s PRE nerf as boomy. It wasn’t without its difficulty but I did it.

POST nerf, I carried a hunter buddy of mine through his layer 6 by just pulling the whole room. It was a joke.

This is nice to know, Thank you. My Druid is close to 60 and I was wondering the same question. I’ve read resto w/ feral Affinity is also a good way to go.

On my hunter as many know it’s kinda a joke w/ a pet tank. Was curious what it’ll be like with things beating on me as a Boomy. Is their a Anima power that gives treants longer or perma like Shammy’s?

Bear 100% but its so boring i wanted to kms

I pretty much cleared floors rarily even going into to stealth as feral, just aoe’d down. Players complained to much and Blizzard gave the cry-hards what they wanted.

Already Bear! Also have a DH and pally both have a much easier time as tank spec. Just got my druid to 60 today and I am sure Bear will be easiest sepc.

Resto with balance affinity. Have been able to solo every iteration of torghast except the 1.5 minutes where they overturned it and immediately re nerfed it.

I do Resto with Feral affinity despite playing Boomkin in all other aspects of the game.

Found it to be really easy and easier than Boomkin…just pre-hot (don’t even have to bother with some mobs), dot and do Feral form damage rotation.

With ilvl 191 I killed layer 8 boss yesterday in literally about 10 seconds with the increase in damage powers I chose throughout.

I do it as bear. Just running around dotting and thrashing everything!

Bear, and now I don’t even bother trying for anima powers…stealth to each floor’s door boss, kill it, take that anima power and move on. Hit the final boss with 6 anima powers is plenty in bear form.

I’m clearing it as boomkin. It is extremely easy with how much they inflate the damage during convoke. I would say 25 to 50% of the time I’m 1 shotting the end boss on each floor.

Look for power ups that are 50% damage during convoke. 50% damage with 3 dots. Then spec into Astral flare for the 3rd dot to apply ( you can do this in the vendor bubble ). 50% damage but when you damage an enemy you get slowed. Shift the debuff off. 50% damage when you moonfire 3 targets ( helps a ton for trash clearing speed ) and finally the hidden OP one. Prowl gives 25% damage for 5 seconds. Start in prowl switch boomkin form and celestial alignment convoke.

There are a few other very strong talents but these are the bread and butter of how to 1 shot the bosses. I was able to peak at 180k dps during a convoke at one point. With the fullmoon increased proc rate stacked 2 times once.

Post nerfs I would say solo every spec can clear very easily.
Guardian is probably the MOST easy.

Resto probably can do it, but I would think only quickly in a group.

The only build I wouldn’t suggest going is the roots build. Don’t get me wrong it works. It’s fun for a floor. But it’s very unengaging as far as game play goes. I was super excited to try it out and was very let down with how quickly I got bored of watching mobs sit still and die over time… even typing this out I have no clue why I was excited to try this now haha!

Pre-nerf, it was pretty much a coast as Guardian until Layer 7. I may have just not had enough iLevel or poor Secondaries to handle it, but I bounced off the Floor 1 boss there. The rest of the floor was easy enough, though.

I’ve thought about trying it out as Feral, but I’ve always liked the Guardian’s resilience. I did go Restoration when I was in a group, but we already had a tank with us, so it just made sense to go that route.

Post-nerf, I didn’t really notice that much of a difference between pre-nerf 6 and post-nerf 8.

I role play the whole tower every time. I save all the souls and clear every floor from evil doers.

I must applause Blizzard for an atmosphere so thick you can taste it. As a Feral Druid I feel like a Predator hunting other Predators.

I’m a resto druid, but I just do it as balance and it’s been 100% fine. I really like some of the power options we get. Some of them I thought were trash turned out to be cool… like getting 3x of the roots dot one, I can just mass root an entire pack, go kill another pack, and the first one is dead by the time I’m done.

Also, that full moon power that drops the gigantic fricking moon on people every 20 ticks of moonfire? Every time that drops I giggle with glee on the inside
