What sort of time commitment does a Remix need?

Put simply I never really played MoP Remix at the time.

Just wondering what sort of time commitment a Remix mode needs to achieve some rewards and titles as well as also gaining enjoyment out of the game?

I feel a bit torn between MoP Classic where I would like to play the expac casually but fully, that is see all the content patches and work towards “Legend of Pandaria” but also play the last closing season of retail comprehensively - not hardcore, but just doing a bunch of the PVE to maybe 80% of its completion.

What did you all find with MoP Remix? For those with similar desires to me, whats your strat gonna be going forward?

It is pretty easy to get everything you want in Remix. I played it casually and got all the t-mog and mounts I wanted. By casual, I’d say I played maybe 8-10 hours a week. The event will last 2-3 months so there is a lot of time to get what you want.

Once we can see what all the vendors have to offer then it will be easier for you to decide how much of a time investment you will want to put into the event.

They said things are changing from MoP remix so anything I can tell you about that might not apply this time around.

I think the main thing is to determine how many characters you realistically want to level up for this event since it seems like we might be getting class specific mounts (no idea if these will be on a vendor or if you have to do order hall stuff)

MoP took a minute for the bronze to flow but if you were just there for cosmetics and not gear numbers it didn’t take long.

In MoPmix, I originally was only going to go for the mounts and mogs and not concern myself with getting super geared. Because I thought that if I spent bronze on gear, I might not have enough time/bronze to get all the cosmetics I wanted.

But, bronze wasn’t as scarce as I thought it would be. And being super geared up made getting bronze so much easier.

As to how much time that will take is unclear as they are changing some things, so it’s likely to be different that last time. I do intend to focus on gearing up first this time as I suspect that will once again make it easier to get the goodies.

I remember MoP mostly replaced my typical playtime during Dragonflight.

Just enjoy the ride. Leveling is super fast and you get pretty OP if you stick to one character the whole time.

My intentions are to max out some class specs that I have interest in, but have not played at max level to see if I like it. Particularly Havoc DH, Blood DK, and Survival Hunter.

The extra powers or perks are a ton of fun, as are the generous gear drops. The balance is that there are no professions, mail, or AH. It’s like a crazy WoW ripoff, but sanctioned, lol.

I never played a remix either, but I understand it is hella fast, so I will be scoping the other responses too.

I think my fear is that I’ll need gear to get the mounts and achievements? But maybe this isn’t so is what I am starting to see from the responses in this thread?

Is it best practice to play multiple characters or really double down on 1-2?

Depends how much time you have. The more characters you play, the more things you can get for “free”. Like leveling to 80 will get you the class mount for the class you leveled. So if you level all 12 classes to 80, you don’t have to spend your bronze on them. Or you can buy each mount for 10k bronze each if you only want to play one character.

Last time in Remix, you had to choose between using currency on upgrading gear and becoming more powerful or buying things you wanted. This time around you don’t have to make that choice so getting things should be a lot easier.

I didn’t even touch retail while Remix was up.
I’d likely still be there too btw.

I hope Lemix is at least half as fun, but I doubt it.

I might dip into Lemix just for the tmog and nothing else. I’m really starving for tmog lately.
