What size is your screenshot folder?

i’ve been playing WoW for a long time. a LOOOOONG time. my screenshot folder is starting to get pretty ridiculous, i mean… i’ve got 12.3gb of screenshots saved (i like to take screenshots… i have a bad memory, this is my way around it).

is that normal? or is that a lot? eitherway, i’m gonna move my screenshots to one of my external harddrives for safe keeping. clear up a little space. so tell me, how big is your screenshot folder?

I don’t know! I move my screen shots into archive folders, and I lost my last two computers!

I haven’t taken that many. I went and got that selfie camera toy and been meaning to take more shots with it but I haven’t yet lol.

Mine is just shy of 40GB. Admittedly I take screenshots of kind of silly things like whenever my characters hit max level for the current expac I document that with a screenshot of it. Also things like periodic screenshots of how I have my abilities set on my bars as I play every class so if they get jumbled by a talent rework I can’t hope to re-assemble all of them. Probably other trivial stuff at times. To be fair I have had my screen shot quality set at max for years.

I call it the cats behind folder, because when she sits on my keyboard , it takes a screenshot of wherever i am standing. At the bank in Dornagal etc.

Trying to find my oldest screenshot…

12gbs… of just jpegs? You must have upwards of 2500 images, accounting for 1440p and 3-5MBs for image, using the high end that’s 2457 images.

Conclusion? You take a lot of screenshots lol.

I however take next to none, probably less than 20MBs.

I dump mine pretty regularly but I’m not overly sentimental, even in real life.

I have almost 5GB of screenshots. I few from other games but the majority are WoW.

yes. yes i do take a lot of screenshots.

i take them of transmogs i like (it’s easier to remember what a transmog piece is called when the name is on-screen), i take screenshots of when i get my artifact weapons (cause it does that little custom animation thing, and has the name on screen… is nice), i take screenshots of my friends, of moments i wanna remember, of random npcs i think look interesting, of glitches i see (world does’nt load right or pc is being slow loading a zone? screenshot. it’s interesting to see mountains and lakes floating in light-grey void), and other things (i’m on moonguard, you can use your imagination.).

as i said, i have a pretty bad memory, so… i take them often. i’ve got more than that, but uh… i’ve had to copy my screenshot folder to my harddrives several times over the years by now.

also, WOW! that’s amazing that you figured out how many pictures i have, based on the the amount of gb i mentioned! :open_mouth:

I used to save my screenshots to photobucket, but then they decided to say… “Hey you gotta pay us for more space, but you aren’t even going to be able to access your pics unless you have on there already unless you pay us. SO PAY US!” All my screenshots are gone forever lol.

oof… sad to hear that. if i were you, i’d get flashdrives, or an external harddrive. those things are great for store needless amounts of data.

I work in IT, I have loads of USB sticks and external hard drives for storage. I got anything of importance saved in multiple locations. It’s a bummer about the screenshots, but it’s not the biggest deal.

I have a screenshot folder?

My folder is 13 inches long…

I’ve also been playing a very long time. But I almost never take screenshots. Don’t see much point. So my folder is practically empty.

I have no screenshots

New laptop, just a few months old.

Screenshot folder of WoW only - 428GB that’s where my little clips go from wow also.

Screenshots only? No idea.

I tend to only screenshot important moments, so there may be about 200-250 images in there but not even 1GB.
