What shows are you watching?

What shows are you watching for the last few months?

I am watching The Zoo (a show on Animal Planet that focuses the behind the scenes of animal care at the Bronx Zoo), Secrets of the Zoo (same setting but at the Columbus Zoo), The Aquarium (focusing on the Georgia Aquarium). I am watching Dune Prophecies, which is like a tv show prequel/spin-off of the 2020 Dune movies. I am watching the Fallout Tv show and I am loving it. Only Murders in the Building, and also Family Guy too.

What are yours?

My regular “watches”

SWAT tv series (though I saw the movies as well)

Fire Country

Paranormal Caught On Camera
any “creature paranormal or Bigfoot “ type show even on YouTube I’ll give a try

Random movies

For laughs I still watch Big Bang Theory all the time

Then anything that just grabs my interest

My friend has convinced me to watch Twin Peaks. I don’t know how I missed it when it first aired, I guess I was doing other things. Nothing new…

At the moment I’m watching:

  • Daredevil: Born Again
  • Reacher
  • Invincible

And I’ve got a few movies I need to finally get around to watching, which I couldn’t @ the time of their release due to lots of life stuff happening at the time :sob:

But yeah, loving the three shows listed above thus far.

Honestly? Haven’t been watching shows all that much lately. Mostly just been watching Youtubers and streamers. I think the only show I’ve seen recently was Sakamoto Days on Netflix.

Thoughts? I am seeing some seriously mixed reception. I will probably pick up a month of D+ eventually. I loved the Netflix series, and technically this is season 4, but it is a big stretch from what I hear.

Shows?
Outside of watching hockey games basically all week, I perpetually watch Shoresy and Letterkenny. I’ve watched each season (other than the latest Shoresy) at least a dozen times.

I’m loving it so far  For now it’s leaning more-so towards Murdock’s lawyer side than his Dadedevil side, but it seems that’s purposefully done for the build up of the plot & after episode one – You’ll see why.

But it appears that they’ve canonised the Netflix series, if not all then at least the raw majority of it — and go as far to even make references to it

Fisk makes a reprisal return and it seems that much like Matt, he too is on a path of self-discovery and evolution – You could say they’ve both been “Reborn” – But it’s intriguing to see how they’ll both have their characters evolve and unfold ahead.

As for the mixed reception:

I’d recommend to ignore the “Professional” reviews and look at the audience reviews.
If you look @ the audience reviews – You’ll see it currently holds a boastful 4.6 rating out of 5.

It’s been tremendously well received by both fans and newcomers alike.

Obviously it’s not going to be for everyone, but that could be said about anything really - as it stands, factually: The grand consensus is that the majority enjoy it.

Glad you are enjoying it. I am probably going to pick a month of D+ when the show is out and watch it all. I have heard that it really picks up in the later half.

I’m really behind on the times but I just watched “The Terror” on Netflix. Not sure how I missed it. Anyways, I really enjoyed it.

Besides the story being pretty good, it avoided a lot of things I’m getting fatigued with. Forced romance, nudity and torture for shock value, and everyone in the show from grandma to the 9-year old dropping the f bomb.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a prude and this show had plenty of gore. I’m just, like I said, tired of the above mentioned tropes that seem to be plaguing every new show and/or movie on platforms like HBO. Every time a child starts talking like a 45-year sailor, I just roll my eyes. It’s not even funny anymore.

Rewatching black clover anime when the new season comes back sometime in spring

Severance. Season one was given to me as a gift. Love it!

“The Pitt” on Max is a great show and the most realistic medical drama ever made. Noah Wyle is a much better actor than he gets credit for.

Shogun was amazing. If you dive into it. I highly recommend listening to the podcast after each episode.

Also loved Masters of the Air, it’s Spielberg and Hanks snd along the same subject snd production quality of Band of Brothers and Pacific.

Just rewatched Chernobyl. It’s terrifying how close that came to being catastrophic for all of Europe and perhaps beyond.

The one on HBO? Such a great series.

… except for one thing. I’m one of those people that needs a trigger warning for dog stuff.
