well guild wars is dead compared to wow why actually steal something from it. i gave it a try i personally don’t care when they release if its to far off i’m just letting my sub run out. i quit guild wars 2 for the same reason ain’t touched it. is it my fault for buying the expac thinking it might be better than guild wars 2 ya why i only got a one month sub. they had enough feedback in beta over this and now its happening here so its not like they can’t just flip a switch and fix the problem they wanna say we don’t care well i’m doing the same i don’t care about subbing
omg again so selective with your quotes of me… sigh… there was a much larger point i made that you are selecting a tiny part of. like no sh** it was unpopular. i never disputed that. i never even hinted the opposite of that. my point was it hurt the game of which in my previous comment elaborated on. who is bad faith now being so selective with your quotes?..
why is it superior?
So, uh, yeah. One list has more points than the other.
gw2 is far from dead… just cause they have less players than wow doesnt mean they are dead. by that logic any game with less players than wow is dead. not to mention we dont even know how many play wow but its certainly not even close to the 12mil it was years ago. also blizz gets real fishy with how they count these days.
and what feedback was that? from people who like to just afk fly and trivialize all the content into oblivion? god forbit we need to use ours brains a bit more in this game. cant just pull up a build on icyveins any more…
I’m not gonna quote the whole thing. How you feel about it is how you feel about it. I don’t agree and never will. So what’s the point in quoting everything?
oh come on. a bunch of those are just about being lazy and afk which at that point why should blizz even make a world to travel through. why not just make this a hub game like destiny or other looter shooters? as for mount selection? TBC wasnt flush with flying mounts at launch either. nor could you customize them. so you want full power just handed to you? im guessing you dont like the idea of having to do mythic content to get mythic gear too? that list is so painfully biased its kinda sad. Im not saying DR is perfect or the end all be all but for a first draft its amazing and with time will be even better. opens up way more design options for blizz world wise unless your someone who likes to ignore the world they create by afk flying…
dont quote anything and just come of with a good argument instead of misrepresenting what i said with such a selective quote
Travel shouldn’t require mechanics at any level aside from knowing your destination. Dragonriding is busywork dressed up with flashy speedlines when all I want to do is travel hassle-free.
I’ll continue to reply to whatever I have a reply for and opt out of circular discussion.
so then just play a hub based mmo. why bother with wow if all you want to do is be at point B from A asap?
even when your reply takes me out of context? shrug ok whatever
There’s nothing taking you out of context. Your full opinion that you’ve stated several times is still there in the thread.
you know there are some great mmos out there that have auto travel built right in. hell they will even do the quest for you too
Well, for one, Pandaren are locked into this hellscape so welp.
Second, TBC Flight isn’t somehow invalidating the world at large. It just makes it so that travel isn’t burdensome. Ye gods, do you fight down every mob that aggros you in the overworld or do you just, yknow, leave the fight?
ok the panda thing is valid. i feel much the same way about the foxes.
but again what you define as burdensome is literally most of the game. how long do think it takes to architect a whole new expansion zone? that is loads of work. so many little things need to be accounted for. and you just wanna fly over it from dungeon to dungeon or quest hub to quest hub. again why should blizz bother with all that work? i think reason is the more people than not actually like exploring the world and not just LFGing to everything. hell there is a whole massive community dedicated to cool secrets blizz puts in. and i think these same people are the ones to like the new crafting system and DR. its why wow classic did so well. wow hasnt felt this alive in such a long time
I have zero issue with attaching TBC Flight to achievements (though they need to lighten up on the Pathfinder cheevo reqs). That way you get to experience the zone ‘as intended’ the first time, but once I’ve done the dance once, I don’t much care to do it again. TBC Flight allows that, it’s QoL, reward, and utility all in one package. Dragonriding meanwhile demands continuous upkeep attention-wise and mechanic-wise, as well as a scavenger hunt just to make the drake worth considering versus just ground-pounding.
sure but when you selectively quote like that it does have an impact. if you noticed most people on this thread did not selectively quote quite like you have. its very much a bad faith way of debating a topic
then my point still stands as far as just playing a hub based mmo… why not have a QoL option that fights the mobs for you after you completed some version of pathfinder? sounds a lot like you dont want to have to press button or pay attention. do you not like to do a dungeon after the first time? do you not raid or pvp? cause all those have far far more complex mechanics and you need to pay way more attention
No I’m just simply responding to what I have a response for. I don’t have a response for your opinion. That is your’s and I’m not gonna try to change it. I don’t want to do that.
