So I bought a Wow token because I’m new and I don’t have any money. I was wondering what I should buy. I’ve seen the mounts with vendors on them that sounds like a solid idea. My buddy bought me some heirlooms and honestly I like that they level with me but I keep swapping them out for better gear and then putting them back on when I level. So I don’t think I care enough to deal with that hassle. Anyway I’m rambling what would you guys the wow vets reccomend that I buy as a new player?
Nothing. You should save it for a rainy day.
And then just go play the game.
Point of clarification; is this a WoW token you paid with real money, or one you bought with gold?
If the former, you can only put it on thr AH to generate gold, and honestly I wouldn’t buy anything conpetitive with gold right now.
If the latter, you’re pretty much tied to either buying a month of game time or a cheap store mount.
I got the in game gold. So real money.
The transmog mount is one of the best things in game.
Money falls like rain in this game. Unless you have some big purchases in mind you won’t need to buy any tokens.
Then just hold on to it in case you ever want to unsub. Regardless of how long you’re away, so long as that thing is in your bag, you can always resub for a month 100% free of charge.
Edit; oh you GOT gold by SPENDING real money?
Then honestly I’d probably try to get a cool cosmetic rep mount or something.
I was going to agree with that orc above too, buy the mog yak from Pandaria. Easily the most useful mount in the game. Repairs and a vendor for selling items whenever you need them and as a new player you probably don’t have anything to mog right now, but in the future you will and the yak is very handy.
It’s also very pricy. So if you can knock it out with a token then go for it.
Cool I’ll look into that one.
Profession boost, Heirlooms upgrade for your alts, Engineering toys from the AH (Wormhole portal are really useful), High level legendary armor base.
Or you can also use this as a start fund to learn how to play the auction house (buy low, sell high) and dip in some markets to buy and resell higher.
I’ll second this.
When you get to level 30, and 40, you can buy the flying upgrades with gold, very valuable. You can buy more heirlooms if you wish, and 226 gear next patch once you get level 60. I would save some of it to afford a legendary.
You’re looking for a reason to buy tokens?
Really you shouldn’t, there simply isn’t that much need. Simple as that.
Now if you don’t play a whole lot, find yourself constantly needing money case you don’t want to earn your goals or can’t wait / hold off to achieve yhem on your own, then yeah there are some reasons to buy them.
They are the pay for convenience factor for this game. Everything is achievable in time, the tokens just lessen the time it takes with a monetary value. You, and only you, are the one who gets to determine if they hold that value to you.
Yeah, I might buy this yak and then save the rest for flying training on all my alts I’m more then likely going to make.
Game-time.
Buy a boost.
If your gonna roll an army of alts, the maps from the heirloom vendor. They go in your toy collection; let you learn every FP in the game and explore every zone.
Yeah I saw those as well. That seemed super useful.
This, Grand Expedition Yak is the best thing you can grab as a new player with a token to burn. It costs about half what a token is worth, so you get major account features unlocked and some gold left over to play with.
I have this great bridge I would love to show you and it could be yours for the low one time price of a single WoW token!
