The Whitemane cluster is the most populated and balanced but it’s PvP, which can be polarizing.
If you’d prefer PvE, Mankrik is quite populated too but on only Alliance side, with Mankrik Alliance having a similar population to Whitemane Alliance. That said, Mankrik Horde is very underpopulated in comparison. It has an active community but Mankrik Horde is more akin to a low population server.
That’s basically the two options, high pop balanced PvP or high pop Alliance and low pop Horde PvE. The other clusters are even smaller and basically dead.

If you really want you can go graze the grass with Despitebeing on a low pop cluster. (Just don’t steal their flowers and xfer off)
As any player you don’t really want to play on a mega server/cluster like whitemane unless you have a reason beforehand.
Example you just don’t like the social aspect of MMOs.
You need the anonymity.
You need random people available 24/7 to pug with because you’re an addict.
But you actually don’t need 20K ppl to raid with. You really don’t.
The above mindset accounts for the large majority of people on any forums keep in mind so that’s going to sway advice.
It becomes a sort of feedback loop and the mega servers/clusters always end up MMO hell.
Your average normal human person should go for the smaller crowds for a better experience.
The other clusters can’t be that dead.
Even Grobbulus which isn’t clustered with anything has raiding.

Only decent site I’ve found that shows exactly what is clustered though I don’t know if pop numbers are accurate.
I transferred from Whitemane due to layering and it’s only going to get worse when HC season ends. A layered PVP server is not a PVP server.

Well with them deleting all characters and existing ERA classic servers next year for a fresh relaunch of them I might hold off. Won’t be fun leveling up now and finding it all gone after the refresh.

That is what was told on the official stream. Is what people voted and want for.
Retail. Because new people don’t understand how loot works in Era (BoP items are not tradable within a party), and they’re currently stinking up the place for everyone else.
