Everyone I knew irl had stopped playing WoW within Battle For Azeroth… I would rather play WoD. Why can’t blizzard just get it right and listen to the community, bring WoW back to Wrath with new skins. Just wait for classic people will say but I want to play current content. It’s hard to explain why this game sucks so much now but what happened?
“I want to play current content but only if that content is wotlk”
I don’t want WoW to go back to Wrath.
He means BFA but with the systems from Wrath. I agree, the gearing, professions and progression system is off in BFA.
The systems in Wrath were pretty awesome tbh. Especially the vendors.
I could make a huge list of all the things I dislike in BFA but I know they are just my opinions and other people have different reasons. In previous ones it was mostly just 1 or 2 small things like pvp pet battles, which I never got around to doing a lot of.
Sure I’d love some things about Wrath to come back but reverting the game to some previous state that you preferred won’t ‘save’ it.
Most of the people who used to play back then and don’t now have moved on and will never come back, no matter what the game does.
Wraths token systems were garbage, and a mistake, wraths professions were Barely relevant for anything other then potions after the first raid tier.
Albeit, what wrath did right was having static difficulties for hardmode, however this flex mode for your average raid groups is again far superior for your standard raiders.
And with professions, they stay relevant, very relevant, for what they make, alchemists have extremely powerful trinkets, and crafters can make very strong pieces of gear.
It’s okay, they’ve got the secret weapon to unleash…
Classic Wow.
Uhh what are you talking about? Every profession was relevant throughout the entire expansion.
Life IS change get with it or get left behind. The past is in the history books, we move forward not back.
And if we talking class balances, get out of here, wrath had some of the most obscene class balance to ever be introduced.
Bladestorm melting anything near you with no hope of survival, to rogues soloing high rated 2s teams just by spamming fok.
Then the first half of th expansion dks went from gods to babies to gods.
Again, I’ll give to blizzards initial design of the DK ability to tank or dps in any spec was a pretty cool idea, shame it went the way it did.
I’m just saying, not specifically wrath, but go back statistically where the game had more subscribers than it does now. Obviously something is not right when blizz is losing people left and right and to compensate for that loss firing its employees.
Fun > Balance
Alchemy and enchanting, were relevant. The crafted gear made was generally hot garbage, as mix matching tier was still a thing, and made older tiers more useful then a crafted upgrade.
Again, I’ll give it to devs, being able to use the previous seasons tier because of a bonus was again, an idea they should have held on to for longer.
Fun < balance if it’s 1 person having fun while 10 just got blendered into nothing during a reckstorm.
Well a lot of the older playerbase that played in wotlk, 10 years ago mind you, honestly have moved on, families, work, and this newer generation of games aren’t that into this type of game.
Damn call of duties and fork knife I tells yuh.
Don’t get me wrong, each other expansion have their gems, but reverting is a bad move, they should take the system in place, and just mold it into something better.
Their are gems in the azerite mess, and they should build upon that while moving away from the stuff people dislike, people disliked the artifact power, they mad a bad move by making azerite power, a move they likely won’t make again.
Garrisons, terrible at first, but now the war campaign missions are easily manageable, rewarding, but I don’t feel compelled or the need to do them.
And to this day I will argue demo locks were perfection in cata, but that doesn’t take away from how good it is now.
Move forward with systems, flush out what’s disliked, move and build upon the better parts of th system, that’s the direction that needs to be taken, not reverting back to an expac with its own mess of trash problems
I’ll just leave this here…
Not sure what is your point. Everyone I knew in real life that played WoW stopped playing during the Burning Crusade.
I’ll take wotlk back if it means try Paladin gets reverted to its old rotation and I get to be blood dk dps again.
