Imo, Rogue is an absolute mess right now. But I still want to try and play a rogue. I’m mainly a PvP player, although I do dip into PvE sometimes. What spec would be the best for me to play for good DPS/utility without getting carpal tunnel?
Outlaw is one of the highest APM (actions per minute) specs in the game. So not Outlaw. Although it is performing well in PvP currently.
Subtlety is pretty involved but not overly complicated. You have to have good knowledge of when exactly you can do your burst rotation without being stopped by stuns or other CC. Probably the highest gamesense spec of the 3.
I’d say Assassination is probably the “easiest” spec to play. You’re mostly going to be bleed/poisoning targets and that’s the bulk of your damage along with some Envenoms. I’d say this spec would have to be the least stressful, allowing you more time to divert your attention elsewhere and control the game.
All 3 Rogue specs are doing very well.
Assassination is S tier in world PVP, unrated, rated PVP, duels, and in PVE.
Yeah I wanted to play Outlaw but I don’t have a PHD so I just couldn’t get it down. Seems like they dumbed down Arcane and then turned around and amped outlaw up.
Can’t beat Outlaw for running the flag. That’s about all it’s good for, though. Assassination is great for being annoying in BGs with FOK spam.
Sass is the best IMO.
(I am assuming you meant effective vs efficient)
If you stack haste and get your 4 set, outlaw starts to feel a lot better in PvP but I’m not going to call it good just yet. Damage still feels lacking.
Spec what you gravitate to the most. All 3 specs do cool stuff and have our strengths. No need to get mixed up with anything outside of what you care about man. That is the only direction anyone should encourage you to pursue.
