I’ve played WoW on and off for years, and decided to finally sub for the first time today. What realm would y’all recommend for a new player with active population? I don’t mind either Horde or Alliance, balanced would be nice though. Thanks!

I don’t even know if balanced servers exist anymore.
I have all my Alliance on one, Horde on another.

Got you, what servers do you play on?
Look for servers that say “Full” all the time. They are the ones you want.
Anything other than “Full” has peaked well past Wuhan.

Sargeras for Alliance - it’s highly dominate Alliance. Even before warmode, seeing Horde was rare.
Azgalor for Horde, but you don’t want to play on Azgalor or any of its connected realms. It used to be balanced, medium pop in MoP. It’s now a new player ghost town, despite being joined with 7 other realms.
Horde, I’d suggest something like Illidan server.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yeah I was thinking Area 52 for Horde and Stormrage for Alliance? But I’ll check out Sargeras.

Area52/Stormrage is a fine choice. Get to playing.

Basically, what Etch said. Find the full servers, find out if they’re Alliance or Horde dominant.

Proudmoore Alliance should be considered also I think it’s the best tbh, but Stormrage gets more recommendations shrugs I’d try both out see what you like the best.
I also play Horde Tichondrius and am partial to that server for Horde!

Depends on your time zone. If you’re on the east coast or central, go with Stormrage. If you’re West Coast go with Proudmoore. Those are the biggest PVE alliance servers.
Stormrage is the biggest alliance server. Area 52 or Illidan for Horde.
