What RBG rating do you need to be to use the grand/field Marshall replica sets?

I see info saying you need 2400 and others saying you ONLY need 1800 for the replicla. which is it?

Players who are eligible to transmog this appearance need to have achieved Knight-Captain// Legionnaire back in vanilla or 1800 RBG rating. They can purchase transmogrifiable versions from vendors in Area 52.

From thew top comment here… https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=849/field-marshals-battlegear#comments

I’m assuming here, but there would usually be 50 people telling them that they are wrong, if they were incorrect.

It’s 1800.

That’s right. At 1800 you’ll be able to buy whatever pieces are accessible to that character, and the ones that are will become account-wide.

Then why does it say this in the same thread.
"On 5.2, this set will be avaliable to transmog to those who have the requisite title levels from rated battleground system.

Look at the notes:

“Characters that have attained requisite title levels (Centurion, Knight-Champion, Grand Marshal, High Warlord, etc.) through the Rated Battleground system will be able to purchase old PVP items requiring those titles.”

How do you get 1800?

I never do rated anything. Do I just find somebody, ask them to do some arenas with me, then my score starts to go up?

Like when does it give me a rating?

You do rated battlegrounds and win til you have a rating of 1800. I haven’t done RBGs since season 2, but the premade group finder usually has YOLO groups that don’t require voice or much coordination.

Those pieces were originally only available to players who gained those titles from the vanilla pvp honor system. It was a legacy feat of strength to have earned titles from back then. With the release of 5.2, you could also purchase them if you earned the titles via rated battlegrounds.

If I remember right, the originals weren’t an option for transmog and the replicas were, but don’t quote me on that part.

Just win rated battleground matches. I’d recommend waiting until Dragonflight season 1 for the easiest time.

That might have been the patch note, or maybe the devs intended to limit pieces to their corresponding title, but the way it worked out (and still is today) is that anyone with either rank 8 or above FoS from the vanilla honor system or 1800 in RBGs can buy all of the replicas usable by their class, even the weapons which required rank 14 in vanilla.
