Is there an up to date list somewhere of what raid mounts are currently personal loot? That is, the mounts that drop regardless of looting. Is it just as simple as, when you enter the raid, if it says “Legacy loot rules are enabled” then any mounts that drop will need to be rolled on if more than one player needs it? Or are there special loot “rules” for mounts?
The one I’m thinking of is the Antoran Charhound, that drops from Felhounds of Sargeras in Antorus, the Burning Throne. When I saw it dropped for a player in the raid it was placed directly into the players bags immediately upon defeating the boss even before clicking the corpse for loot.
I read that, recently, Legion raids were changed from “personal loot” to “legacy loot”. So does this mean that the Antoran Charhound now drops like “legacy loot” and must be looted by clicking on the corpse? This would also mean that if multiple people are running Antorus together as a group and still need the Charhound mount, they would need to roll for it if it dropped?
Asking because some friends and I still need the mount. We used to run Antorus as a group since we knew the mount drop was set as a personal loot and each player had their own chance to get the mount to drop. So even though we all killed the same boss, there was a chance per player to get the mount.
If it is now set as “legacy loot”, should we prefer to run it solo to each get a chance per week to get the mount? 5 chances for the mount to drop per week for 5 solo players vs 1 chance for the mount to drop per week for a group of 5 that uses all 5 players’ lockouts on the same kill?
Also, someone told me that they thought all of the legacy mount drops are now set to personal and go directly to character inventory when they drop. Is this true now?
