What races/allied races do you want added?

There are so many amazing races tat we meet on azeroth (and beyond) during our travels, which ones would you like to become new races/allied races?

For me I would really like to see a few races honestly. Eredar and/or broken (alliance allied race), Furbolgs (alliance race), Jinyu (alliance race), Lightforged undead (Alliance allied race), Dryads (alliance race), Ogre (Horde race), Saberon (horde race), Hozen (horde race), San’Layn (horde allied race), Taunka (horde allied or normal race I’m not sure), Dragonkin (neutral race), Naga (neutral race i’d guess).
And keep in mind this is just races, not customisations as orcs/trolls/dwarves/humans/elves could cover most of their “subraces” with better/more customisation options.

NOTE: For me allied races should be subraces to existing races, not ‘customisation options’ or entirely new races. So Nightbourne and dark iron dwarves would still be AR (however both need a lot more customisation options), but for me vulpera should be a “normal” race and mechagomes/kul tirans should be gnome/human customizations respectively.

EDIT: Formatting/typos.

I’m 100% against adding more allied races.

If they want to expand our race choices, they should just do it the old fashioned way and add them to the game without forcing players to jump through hoops to get them.

I am in favor of additional race customizations in place of allied races though

Ogres for Horde and nothing for Alliance.

That should compensate Horde for always being portrayed as the evil faction and the story team always favoring the Alliance.

I say this in all seriousness, not to be snarky but I don’t think the game needs any more races for a long time if ever. It’s pretty oversaturated as it is. They need to flesh out the ones they already have really.

As much as I would adore to have Tuskar in the Horde so I can poke their bellies…

I also think that if Blizz were to add more races, all they’d do would be adding to the pile of races that they will never properly develop, and the pile it’s stacked quite high already.

I still want another monstrous beastman type for the horde, but one that can actually be a mage. Tauren is the only horde race that really grabs me visually, but sadly for me they never got the option. Been waiting for 14 years but I’m not holding my breath. It bummed me out so badly when I saw worgen go alliance for that reason.

Naga or drakonid would do it. Theoretically saurok and saberon would be cool too, but I highly doubt they’d be considered due to being based off of worgen, and I also wouldn’t expect Blizzard to give them mages even if they did become playable.

Ogres for the Horde.

I left before MoP because instead of giving us awesome Ogres we got lame Pandas. It was bad enough when they gave us BE’s instead of Ogres but Pandas was just a slap in the face. I left at the end of 2011 and didn’t return till 2017 and that only happened because Wildstar was shut down and all the other MMO’s are just destroying their game. Well, came back to see Blizz doing the same crap.

My favorite race is Mok’nathal and would’ve preferred them to Mag’har or have both Mok’nathal and Mag’har for the Horde at some point. I always feel like 10’s if not 100’s of years have passed in WoW but I think I saw someone post that it is only like 25 years so Mok’nathal is very unlikely unless they are AU version.

A race that I think would be really fun would be Murlocs. If they had racials like you get in that High Mountain quest where you get to be one or the HotS Murloc skills with the shark I would love it. I don’t like neutral races but I think they would HAVE to be neutral so both factions could play one. Maybe have two different Murloc tribes with different customizations. One for the Horde and one for the Alliance.

Sethrak, Saurok, and Saberon.

Snakes, lizards, and cats to eat the new mouse race we got last xpac. Prefer horde, but neutral is ok too.

Oh that’s a different topic entirely, I agree thought 100% the fact you had to do so much to unlock the new ‘races’ in the first place was just dumb. For me the allied races would only be called that to signify they’re similar to already present races.

I was hoping for the Broken in Legion.

Hopefully will still get them to join the Horde :stuck_out_tongue:

Ohhhhh true I forgot about the botani honestly and the nerubians. I bloody love both of them, even though I can never really see a lore reason they’d join the horde or alliance I can dream.

Recent developments are hinting pretty heavily toward the Life Pantheon getting involved in stuff, which could definitely put Botani at the forefront. I could easily see them joining up with NE in the Alliance.

Nerubians as they stand now probably don’t have much reason to join either side but they’ve gotten effectively zero development since WotLK and we still know very little about them and whatever remains of their empire. There’s a lot of different directions they could go.

I think we need some more proper monster/monster in disguise races. Like Worgen with two forms but more focus on the Savage side of things. Ive seen Saberon talk and I’m for that. Sethrak too! Id like to see a Vampire race but a Savage sort of one. More Undead choice would be awesome.

Once again, I show off my “Horde Triforce of Hope!™” to show off races I want to become playable Horde races:

:small_red_triangle::crocodile: Courage! (Saurok)

:small_red_triangle::bat: Wisdom! (San’layn)

:small_red_triangle::japanese_ogre: Power! (Ogres)

Other races I particularly want:

Kelfin (Horde)
Saberon (Either)
Arakkoa (Either)
Jinyu/Ankoan (Alliance)
Hozen (Horde)

There are plenty more I would like, though those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. Honestly, the more options, the better. You can never have too many playable races, in my opinion! :smiley:

Adding more detail and bringing in more back ground lore with the Orc Clans could be a benefit too,

More humans? For the horde to continue tirelessly saying that we are just a boring collection of tall humans, purple humans, short humans, tiny humans, fat humans, etc.

No other race that brings diversity, color and new flavor to the alliance?
do we already have a race of fat humans? What would the others be like?

Have Mercy. :clown_face:
