I forgot I didn’t do bfa on this character and I cant find the actual start quest for this chain. Dont want to do 3 hours on another character to do this felcycle mount stuff.
8.3 intro quest. Should start with Valeera in great seal, takes about an hour iirc.

No, according to Discord, WoWhead and Josh, who is one of the developers of the secret, it has to be BFA phase. (Perhaps not confirmed by Josh, my bad!)
One of the comments:
“to properly get credit for the obelisk, the person with the pet/toy/etc needs to be in the bfa phase. everyone nearby in both phases will get credit if he’s successful”
I’m not certain if I was n BFA phase or not, I’m doing it all on a character that has not done BFA, and I got credit, and I’m almost certain I got credit by way of someone else.
