You can’t use logic on these people. They only know what reddit tells them.
The entire point of GDKP is to facilitate soaking up bought gold. This cannot be said about the auction house. So your comparison is not valid.
Also, if BoP items were meant to be sold, you would be able to put them on the auction house. Your system simply attempts to circumnavigate the rule set of the game. It’s not a playstyle.
I just think the majority of anti-gdkp players feel left out of GDKPs and thus blame them for their issues. Just like the pro-afk-grief players blamed premades for their lack of wsg skill.
It isn’t until you carry a bunch of bad pugs and get not loot in SR / MS > OS, or have a bad LC experience, or have a bis toon, or don’t buy gold and need a way to farm consumes on a healer - that you really start to understand the benefits of GDKPs.
Finally someone with some sense in this sub. I’ve had good SR pugs in the past. However, SOD has brought a bunch of folks out that can’t even dodge murlocs walking slow and it’s pretty apparent that they aren’t fans of a loot system that can punish failing mechanics.
What they don’t and can’t understand is that no amount of pixels will assuage their wasted life. Sad
Makes no sense.
Also no longer matters.
How? Lets be honest the GDKP gold hoarding nerds will still play and be forced into doing Pugs…so Pugs would actually become more popular than they are.
Dude it’s classic WoW…this isn’t mythic raiding. It’s easy enough to carry 2 or 3 people in a 10man raid.
where are you getting your statitics from? Lots of people were able to make thousands of gold in p1 already with out breaking tos by just farming. So you cant do a gdkp with out buying gold why should people who can not be allowed to? GDKPs had most items going for less than 20 gold. Humberts helm was selling for50-80 g all phase and its pre bis not bis. Tell me again how banning GDKPs will stop gold buying?
Nah, I just never wanted to do them because I didn’t feel the need to buy WoW gold to afford buying my gear from a raid. Pretty simple.
So if it’s possible to “farm 1000s of gold so easy” then you should be fine without GDKPs to make gold right? Problem solved.
why would you need to buy gold to do a gdkp? look at the price of farmable pre bis gear even now as p2 is about to come out and be obsolete. people buy gold for that stuff too.
20g per item, 18 gear slots (and this is actually being cheap). You saying most items sell for 20g is extremely disingenuous because you’re probably pulling data based off the last couple weeks. The first few weeks of SoD P1 items were going for 100-200 gold very easily because everyone wanted BiS. But regardless I’ll ignore that for now.
So 20g per item, 18 gear slots will cost me a total of 360 gold to buy my items in a GDKP. That is absolutely ridiculous as a level 25 character. Even with finishing EVERY quest there is no SHOT you make 360 gold by playing 2-3 days a week.
What’s even funnier is that people were saying some items were selling for 250 gold in the second LOCKOUT. That means someone basically hit max level and ended up with an extra 250 gold on week 2 of SoD Phase 1 to spend on one item? LOL If that doesn’t scream buying gold then I don’t know what does.
Wrong though. Completely wrong.
Assuming you’re correct maybe FIX GOLD SELLING FIRST.
That’s fine if you FIX GOLD SELLING FIRST, there will be less inflation in all corners of the market and you won’t need as much gold anyway.
Not sure why you labeled this as a separate point, it’s just the same as your last point reworded, maybe to pad out the length of your post?
Why not? given the gold available from quests at level cap 1g20s would be pretty cheap gear being able to fully gear yourself for less than half the price of a mount is pretty good. Or walking away with 10% of a mount price also seems pretty solid. What do you gain from any other run if none of your loot drops? What incentive do you have to attend any other run if you already have all your loot?
" 1. Let’s say you are making 50g per run. If it wasn’t for people BUYING GOLD you would make 5g per run."
People are not making 50g per run. People are making like 10g on average per run, and for the last few weeks its been more like 5g per run. Just another typical “i’ve never done GDKP before” kinda player.
“2. Would you waste your time on the run for 5g or just join a guild? No you would not run GDKP to have bids at 1g 20s per item.”
1g 20s per item? How does that even get to your 5g pot? ~3*7=21. Typical grey parsing, can’t do grade 1 math anti-gdkp player
“At least 90% of the gold being transferred originated from GOLD SELLERS.”
Yeah I feel dirty taking that 5g cut. Surely it was RMTd and not gained through selling like… a stack of swiftthistle LOL
Micrsoft lets you use windows indefinitely even if you dont have a key. If they let that go down i dont see them caring more about video game gold of something that is like .5 percent of there company.
Fool! I plan on sending discord screenshots to donotreply@blizzard.com and blizzard’s overworked ESL customer support workers who are being paid 20 rupees an hour will crack down on these people RUINING MY GAME!!!
Just because there isn’t public data on the amount of people who do RMT
Doesnt mean there isn’t internal data that either the third party company or blizzard have of their own…
It’s called invasion of privacy
Pretty sure blizzard lost a lawsuit on this.
So if somehow for whatever reason, unknowingly, out of the blue, just coincidentally 1900 got laid off when Microsoft finally took over doesn’t mean anything to you…
Then I guess you got something else coming
Did i say that? Or did I point out that the guy started off with “here’s the truth” and then listed things that he has no way of proving to actually be true using numbers that he made up?
