What people wants!

Hey guys,
I spend a lot of time reading what people wants to be add in classic so i decided to merge all of their ideas into 1 and create this topic

  1. Dungeon finder
  2. Pet battles ( some1 really wanted that im not making this up , he said that it wont damage the game at all )
  3. Flying mounts
  4. Transmogs
  5. Looking For Raid ( cuz they dont have more than 1hour to play the game and they want to raid )
  6. Default quest helper
  7. Guild Banks
  8. New character models
  9. Arenas

After reading all of these suggestions i was wondering if blizz ever gonna make a game with all those things in it? ( pst its called bfa )

Yea OP I just don’t understand what part of ā€œclassicā€ people are struggling to understand.

The entire point of playing classic is that I DON’T want the following:

Flying mounts
Dungeon Finder
Transmogs
New Models

The only thing on that list I could maybe get behind is a quest helper. But there’s an add-on for that if you want that help.

Just leave classic as CLASSIC. Jeez.

I want those annoying as heck puttputt riding lawnmower mounts that endgamers use to enhance my immersion in starting zones. In fact, all the hairlooms should be introduced because bored endgamers want them.

Pay very careful attention to what you’re about to read below.

No. There is no ā€œslippery slopeā€ about it. No, things do not have to change (and they never will either).

When you make any change to Classic… it no longer remains Classic. Instead, the game changes into something else entirely different. The minute you add or remove any feature into Classic, it does not matter what it is; be it a voting system, gate, dungeon maps, ability to link items in local chat, guild banks, class balance, achievements, barber shop, XP for winning a battlground, dual spec, transmog, dungeon finder, flying, etc then you may as well be playing BfA. You are flat out asking Blizzard to remove from or add to Classic WoW.

If you modify one thing, to Classic then you may as well modify everything else and call it BfA. It’s simply not fair to add to or remove one feature, no matter how small you or anyone else think it is, and deny all other features.

In short, the answer is full stop: NO!

J. Allen Brack said that Blizzard will make Classic as it was and thus creating an authentic experience for the players. You want changes? BfA is --------------> that way.

https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcrafts-game-director-on-why-classic-isnt-just-a-flash-in-the-pan/

Quote from Ion Hazzikostas: Just as importantly, Hazzikostas says, is that Classic ā€œis what it isā€ and that players have to take ā€œthe bad with the goodā€ā€”even if that means missing a boat because a priest mind controlled you. ā€œThere is no lobbying the developer to change that because the game is what it was in 2005,ā€ he adds. ā€œIt has to be accepted, which then frees everybody to find all the positive aspects, all the upsides of that friction and those inconveniences because there’s a certain acceptance of the downsides.ā€

NO.

For those who say ā€œIon is not gospelā€. Let me ask you a question. When a Police Officer arrests you for impersonation of a Police Officer, are you going to tell the judge, ā€œThe police officer is not gospel.ā€? No. Of course not. And why not? Because you’re going to make yourself look extremely very silly. The quoted information came from two C-Level Blizzard employees and you’re going to tell everyone else that it is ā€œnot gospelā€?

Good luck.

And, if you’re going to link the definition of ā€œslippery slopeā€, be it from wikipedia or other source: let me just stop you yet again because this is what you look like: ā€œI know the definition of slippery slope, therefore I’m going to shoehorn it into my argument and hope nobody notices I’m wrong.ā€

You are flat out ignoring what Blizzard said because you disagree with #nochanges. You can argue ā€œbut…but muh layeringā€ or ā€œbut…but muh in-game clockā€ all you like until you’re blue in the face. It does not change the fact that your changes are not going to happen. Full stop.

#nochanges

actually there was a guy that wanted heirlooms too , i forgot to put it on the list ^^

now your just trolling, trying to trigger people .

Litterally all of these people writing threads asking for changes are just trolling for bites. Blizzard has already said NO yet folks continue to ask for changes.

You want changes? You already have them -----------> BfA

:slightly_smiling_face:

It would be cool to see some of the dungeons and raids they abandoned or never finished development on like… the emerald nightmare or Karazhan… that would be neet.

I wouldn’t have marked this post for trolling tomorrow but you decided to post it today so that’s bad luck for you

Just restating what was said above by another.

There is no more lobbying for change. It’s over. Get used to Classic as how it was ment to be played. With #nochanges. Get over it.

Don’t like it? Go back to retail with those changes you want.

Give us honor and bg’s now so the bored 60’s get a life and stop trolling lower level areas. Also so I can do bg’s.

You have all that in BFA

  1. Dungeon finder. Absolutely not. This is one of the convenience factors that killed community. Dungeon finder would kill Classic.

  2. Pet battles. This is a no-big-deal issue. Pet battles (and collections in general) extended the longevity of WoW and didn’t interfere with the game. If you don’t like pet battles, you wouldn’t even know they existed.

  3. Flying mounts. The Vanilla world was not designed with flying in mind, so it doesn’t really make sense.

  4. Transmogs. I’m 50/50 here. I don’t see a huge problem with it but it could interfere with look & feel (see below).

  5. Looking for raid. See #1. Taking the community out of group/raid formation was a horrible mistake.

  6. Quest helper. I’d vote no. The act of reading the quest text and potentially doing research on the quest is an important aspect of the game.

  7. Guild banks. No problem here.

  8. New character models. Hard to say. A lot of the affection for Vanilla might be termed ā€˜mindless nostalgia’. People want the game to look like it did in Vanilla, so updating the character models would likely ruin the immersion for them.

  9. Arenas. I view this similarly to pet battles. It’s a mini-game that you don’t have to participate in if you don’t want. However, you need to leave it as a mini-game and not award anything of impact to the game outside of Arena. Awarding gear you could use anywhere but in Arena would be a dealbreaker.

I’m not reading all that. Arenas should be in the game IDC about the rest of it.
