What other MMO’s do you play? Any pro’s and con’s about them?

Heh, what MMOs don’t I play. I love MMOs as a whole and don’t care about all that popularity stuff people love arguing about. I play for the fun and adapt myself to whatever content others offer, and spend less time comparing.

I’m still leveling in these games so my experience is limited to my current level:

FFXIV:
What I enjoy

  • The storytelling
  • Horizontal content
  • RP systems/aesthetics
  • QoL
  • Mogs
  • Mounts
  • All classes and professions on one toon
  • AH/Banker retainer system
  • Housing designs
  • Abundance of apartments (people don’t ever talk about the apts.)

Cons

  • More storytelling than game playing could be a downside to some people
  • Attacking is slower until you get gear as you level
  • Mogging system
  • Limited housing (there are still plenty of apts.)

GW2:
What I enjoy

  • The solo character storytelling
  • The questing method
  • Exploration
  • Mounts

Cons

  • Being a B2P game, some purchasing thru the shop for QoL features is expected

PSO2/NG:
What I enjoy

  • The combat system
    • Combat style changes by weapon
    • Counterattacking ability
    • Air combos
  • Can swap classes on the fly
  • The variety of unique classes

Cons

  • Doing combos for DPS bonuses requires precise timing. The difficulty makes it clunky when you can’t time it.

BDO:
What I enjoy

  • Best character customization
  • Fast hack n’ slash combat
  • RP systems

Cons

  • I hear it gets grindy after a certain point

Vindictus:
What I enjoy

  • Combat
  • Mogs
  • Some unique classes

Cons

  • The nicer-looking mogs require monetary purchase

Blade and Soul:
What I enjoy

  • 2nd best character customization
  • Mogs
  • Counterattacking ability
  • Mobility includes character gliding and wall-running
  • Personal fan of Hyung Tae Kim’s manhwa art style

Cons

  • F2P game with a very limited inventory that requires a monetary purchase to expand

SWTOR:
What I enjoy

  • The number of classes
  • Player choice feature for quest completion

I haven’t played enough for cons.

I don’t play any other MMOs I only play WOW. But here’s what I do,

If I want story telling then I play a single-player game, because games like this specialize in stories, unlike MMOs.

If I want intense combat and I want to sweat I will play wow.
