After playing WoW, what other things do you like to do? As for me, I like to watch anime, read, practice on my instruments (violin and guitar), and countless of other things I love.
I’m always interested to know what things other people enjoy in their lives, besides this game haha.
I enjoy working with my dogs, training basic obedience as well as tricks, cues, etc… I also like drawing, more cartoon-like, but not limited. And lastly I enjoy going for rides on my recumbent trike, though more of a warm season thing [and it’s winter now].
I love running. I like just wandering through the forest on occasion and seeing how deep I can get and what I find (there’s been some… weird things) and generally traveling around the state.
I spend like three hours a year watching movies, sometimes watch an anime if the art style or story appeals to me. I’ll read history books and biographies, or novels related to games that I’ve played (Warcraft, Guild Wars, Dragon Age etc).
Vocations: Writing, Art
Avocations: Horseback riding, reading, needlepoint, crochet, playing music (clarinet, sax, learning piano), being a twit on the WoW forums.
I watch anime and netflix. I play most other Blizzard games.
I’ll be picking up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu soon as a new hobby. I’m a bit nervous as I’m not a very sporty person, but I have a lot of respect for the martial art and it will help me be less of a wimp.
Going for walks when it isn’t a frozen tundra outside. I also like to read, play other video games and board games, sometimes I play/DM Pathfinder. I draw and am into reptile-keeping: specifically snakes. I own about half a dozen different snake species and find caring for them very grounding and therapeutic.
When it is nice outside I like to hike and do some field herping: which is looking for reptiles and amphibians in the wild. I love nature and all animals.
I like reading books, fantasy and horror, and watching anime, the other two of the nerd trifecta. Playing other games is a given. Adoring my cat to no end. Sometimes I like writing too, if the mood strikes. Rarely gets very far though.
Does haunting internet forums count as a hobby? If so then that too.
I do a lot of stuff, but my latest venture has been into the building (and, eventually, the wearing) of cosplay outfits, namely my own custom mandalorian. This hobby is ludicrously expensive and time consuming, but very rewarding when you put on the armor and feel like a complete bada**
Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu were the two that I came down to, because they also have top application for real world self defense. If you like fast strikes and footwork, go Muay Thai. If you like technical submissions and grappling, go Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I don’t catch them, but we have lots of fine reptiles where I live (high desert, NM). I often see prairie and Mohave rattlers and bull snakes, plus many different lizard species when I’m riding. Not right now, of course. Everyone’s hibernating.
I had a pair of pet Japanese newts I had to give to my sister when I married and we got stationed overseas. The female died a little while ago. The male is now over 30 years old. Not kidding.
