Ehhh I dunno man.
The problem is you have a person, that makes an amazing game, then someone comes in after them, and throws the source material in the trash because their ideas are “better.”
Happens way too often so my answer is “none.”
Edit: Ok just to play along I’m going to pretend this is a perfect world and EA doesn’t pull a Remastered Warcraft 3… I would love to see the graphics updated to 2024 standards in Dragon Age: Origin.
Microsoft Solitaire.
3D Tetris. You fill a rotating cube, it can turn on its side, flip upside down, and a jumble button!
When I played Metroid Dread I felt like I was playing a remastered Super Metroid and it was amazing (gameplay wise).
NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2
I can literally feel snoop’s riders on the storm version bumping on my chair right now, thinking about it. With a real engine, and the same ridiculous driving mechanics with a REAL open world, this game would shut the internet down, because everyone would be playing it.
Legend of Dragoon
Splinter Cell.
Descent 3

The answer is easy.
Just be sure to hand it to Monolith Soft, which is where a good chunk of the original developers went (they split off from Square afterwards), or at least make a point of getting them involved for input.
The scale & scope of that project would still be daunting, but the highly-compressed nature of Disc 2 in the original makes the perfect place to expand upon the story.
Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2.
All of the Descents… GOOD LORD! my childhood.
Vagrant Story. HD Remaster and add a way to make Damascus Hand of Light. gg
OH OH OH! Dai Katana…
depends on how you define doing well. like, as gamers, we usually see doing well as being really fun, and selling a lot of copies. while the suits at the game companies only see the sales, and how much money they can milk out of us.
me? i’d like to see brutal legend be remade. but knowing the companies that made it… i don’t see it doing so well.
was also gonna say final fantasy: crystal chronicles, and tales of symphonia, but those games already got remade… or atleast, got ‘remastered’ and ported repeatedly.
Chrono Trigger
My guilty pleasure to be done would be Time Splitters.
I’ll bet most people here don’t even know that Asura is voiced by Liam O’Brien, the same person who voices Illidan. Fun little factoid for y’all.
Anyway, I dunno if I’d be able to pick a game myself. The industry these days makes just about everything feel cash-grabby, which applies even more to remakes because publishers are banking on the nostalgia factor as well. I consider something like D2R to be an example of a remake that defied my expectations. But in general, if something’s worth remaking it almost always does get remade, or at least turned into a franchise that continues on with more games. Anything that hasn’t been would probably end up tanking if it got remade lol
Quake, Lineage, Hexen, just off the top of my head.
