I could do a Million Gold if I dont use it for flasks, potions and enchants. I am lazy now on picking herbs. I just do 15 min per day grind, get my 4k gold on Paragon Chests and spend it. I also realized that at the rate of 16k gold per week earnings, it wont be enough to get a Brutosaur. So no need to save gold.

Never even been close to a million maybe 250k once but is as close as I’ve ever been
I have never had more than 60k on a character at any time, I think at the moment if you combined every character on a given server I could scrounge up maybe 90k. Gold farming is boring and its more than enough to cover transmog and repair bills.

To be fair, I just bought a token the other day, and I’m only back to 95k on this server after doing that, so I can totally relate.
I made 2.5 million in warlords. Spent it all on battle pets and transfers though. It was nice while it lasted I guess.
I had looked at tokens as a way to save money before, but determined that the opportunity cost of gold farming to pay for them was too high. I’d rather just give blizzard money and play the game.

I have probably 25k. I wish WoW had the ESO loot login table that sometimes includes gold.

Gold making in BfA has been very healthy. Yes not quite as easy as WoD and Legion but still very healthy. I have made between 15-20 mill. gold during BfA alone.
Having said that, the AH has been MUCH more difficult in making the easy money since the Brutosaur announcement because of noobs that don’t know how to sell into a market destroying the markets they sell into. I see it every day, someone posts 300 items when the TAM (total available market) on any given day MIGHT be 50 units and that is on top of the other sellers already in the market. In addition when they don’t sell many or even any at all they then blow the market up to the downside, often hammering prices down by 50-60 or even 80% just to make a sale. They are spending tons of cash on listings that WILL NEVER SELL no matter how low they go because the problem isn’t a price problem, it is a supply problem for too little demand.
These noobs are the same people who come to the forums to ask how to make gold as if anyone could type out a book for them to follow to riches. They don’t stop to think, they use a mod to tell them prices even if it is completely off base and totally wrong rather then study what they are doing or how they are doing it.
Now that brings me to the last point…this overstuffing of the market has led to a nice opportunity if you think long term. With prices in markets being destroyed you can make A LOT of gold if you are willing to buy and hold things that will go up in value over time.
Making gold in the millions is not something that just happens. Just like real money (and hopefully your personal finances which is YOUR business), you have to treat it like a business. You have to study it and understand what you are doing and yes go through the growing pains, most people won’t (just like most people will never have 1 million dollars but they have their daily latte). They want the easy route and to have it handed to them. A few will make that gold, most won’t and will either give up or just complain because it requires more then just smash mobs/questing…in between those 2 types of people is where there is plenty of arbitrage to make a ton of gold.

Literally how. You’d have to be extremely lazy to have that little amount of gold.
You get near 8k just questing from 110-120. Gathering proffs can get you 10-14k per 200 stack of certain herbs.

Which certain herbs? A stack of 200 Winterkiss on my server goes for about 1800. Farming a 200 stack of Zin? I’d rather Cobain myself. Same goes for anchorweed.
