Going to Argus and not seeing a single female krokul lol.
Arakkoa. Give me them birds.
Go to Outland and not see a single female Broken.
There were incomplete female Broken models in the game files, but they ran out of time and just went “use draenei female models instead”.
Yeah, Zandalari men are new models based on the nelf skeleton-- Zandalari women are just reskins of troll women (who are the same build no matter what type of troll they are).
Female ogres are pretty much a myth.
Yeah, Outland was bad enough, but I actually had hopes for Argus. Silly me. I thought, “It’s [Current Year], Blizzard, you have the technology.”
Only if the Alliance gets them.
High Elves for the Alliance. San’layn (or Ogres) for the Horde
Saberon and Saurok are all I want, man. Mostly the Saurok, but Saberon would also be nice.
I want my lizard people, damn it!
Naga would be cool. No idea where they would go.
High Arakkoa for sure. I’d rather not the broken ones. Lemme have the splendor birbs.
Vrykul would be fun.
Eredar, because one type of draenei wasnt enough so lets just go whole hog.
Shivarra because why not some demons at this point, everything else is nuts anyway.
Nerubians would be neat.
That’s right. An entire race opted to join a bunch of savages because a single person made a stupid comment.
Flying squirrels and moose
High Elves, Ogres, and Forest Trolls primarily. Also Grummles.
This.
Ion’s comment that sliders weren’t coming to WoW disappointed me. I get that it would be difficult to institute (like, giant gnomes, thats disturbing) but slider aspects for changing things like body shape, facial features, shading skin tones, body decoration, etc would have been hugely popular. Sometimes I think they just take the easy way out as a way to try and placate people.
Why do we need more races at all?
Instead of giving us races that are either reskins of one we already have or races that are so weird I wouldn’t care to play them, why not just give us far more options to alter the ones we have to suit our tastes.
As it is, most of the allied races are the most underused races in the game. You only need to check out the charts at realmpop to see that. On the US game, Dark Iron Dwarves for example, make up only 0.8% of all 120 level characters. Why is that? Maybe because most people can’t be bothered levelling up a character that is just a recolour of a dwarf?
Make the ones we have more fun and adaptable and stop just dumping races on us that few people seem inclined to play…
Because not everyone is okay with the Alliance being made up of mostly variations of a Human.
Huh?
As a gnome I wish to take exception to this comment!
Dwarves, Draenei, Night Elves, Worgen (when in worgen form which they are 90% of the time) look nothing like humans. Not sure what you are talking about. The only human type Allied alliance race is the Kul Tiran.
?
OGRES.
Come on, man. 14 years I have been waiting for ogres. I like Tuskarr and I like other races, but Ogres are SO overdue.
Saberon
Botani
Hozen
Dryads
(They’ve already established that it’s fine for transmog not to show up on a character with the Mechagnomes, so that’s not a good arguement against non-bipedal characters anymore.)
Dwarves and Gnomes are just humans with a height handicap, and Worgen are Humans who take cosplaying too far. The only two that aren’t effectively Humans are the Draenei and Night Elves but neither are terribly interesting. You’ve got one who is a race of wildly incompetent space goats and the other are a bunch of dumb hippies who got their home burned to the ground. Where is the fun in any of that?
Ogres (except the 2 headed type) look pretty much like large orcs. And they wouldn’t keep that size if they came ingame. They’d end up around the same size as orcs. And they tend to be bulky so you would have the same responses from Horde as Alliance had to Kul Tirans.
“They be fat orcs!”
But hey, they are probably considering it. After all, it doesn’t take as much to rework an orc as it does to create an entirely new look race…
(PS…how would you deal with 2 heads and helms…do you get 2 helms or squeeze both heads inside one…its a conundrum…)
