My G600 finally died today. i have used nothing but those since the first one came out many moons ago,…since they are very hard to find and most have a price tag of over $300… well
Anyone that used G600 and/or uses those side buttons (12 of them) constantly as I do, any advice on a mouse that comes close to the G600?
I haven’t found one that has that second right click button (I think people call it a tab click or something?). So I continually searched Ebay for weeks and finally found a G600 and a G600t as backups. The G600t is the Japanese version, but still works the same with no issues.
I have a Naga - it maps directly to my 1 through = keys. It, and similar mice were literally designed with MMOs in mind. So, what’s your point? Moving your thumb to a set of buttons on the side of a mouse is no different than moving your fingers to keys on a keyboard.

Corsair M65 has been ok, but ICUE software is an unreasonable PITA to do button remapping. The settings are stored on the computer never on the device itself, so the crap software always has to be running. Also the middle mouse button has completely failed after ~2y.
Trying a Razer Basilisk next. Gotta have the 3 thumb buttons, mapping them to ctrl, alt, and esc has been so useful even outside of games.
Evidently Logitech got around that by making mousepads with wireless chargers embedded in them (kind of like chi charging for phones). Neat tech, but kind of defeats the purpose of having a wireless mouse.
Vertical mice SOUND like a good idea. But resting the weight of your hand on a pinky constantly is really terrible. They need some kind of finger-divider fin that you can hang your middle finger on and have that be the weight support while index & ring are clickers.
Also it’s much more awkward to switch between mouse and typing for work stuff which is the whole place they’re supposed to shine.
