Just got back into WoW and have loved playing DK. My problem is, I don’t have a flying mount that fits the mood of the character. Any mounts in specific that feel like they fit the DK mold?
Get the WotLK Time walking mount when it rolls around next. Bridle of the Ironbound Wraithcharger

Class mount from legion, invincible, frostwyrms, midnight, any of the horde PvP vicious undead mounts tend to be the ones I use. I’m sure there’s more.

I second this. The raid achievements for lich king are also easy to do for anyone wanting that mount.
The invisible one. No need for any other.

I like the legion class hall mount, it even has a coffin mounted behind the seat
Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm, no clue if you can get it anymore though.
Invincible. Probably my favourite mount still, even though it looks a bit dated now, but it took me so long to get.
The Shadowlands deathcharger is my go to

It took me from the beginning of pushing ICC heroic when the content was relevant till last year in September to get it. All that time, I wish it would get a visual update, but I do use it along with the Frost Bound Brood Vanquisher mount from the same raid. Undead dragon mounts just perfectly fit the theme for Dks
I was not playing when this was available and I am still kicking myself. That mount is freaking ice cold cool.
Also any of the skeletal dragons from Wrath and Legion are perfect. My only issue with them is the new-ish player riding pose looks silly
I thought I would like these mounts when they came out but design wise it wasn’t doing it for me. Each color is too saturated and I could never get over how tiny the claws were and the weird scorpion tail. The coffin was a nice touch, however.
It’s a ground mount, but The Fallen Charger and it’s variants look good for no fly zones. Shadowlands content was a good expansion for Death Knight transmogs.
Up to this day I still think one of the best DK-appropriate flying mounts is the Skeletal Gryphon.
It’s small and nice, not over the top… I wish it had an updated skin.
I like the shadowy horse from The Maw. The fact that its legs ends in shadows is very spectral like. It reminds me of those “ghost people” in Lord of the Ring. 
Shadowlands undead horse mounts are by far my favourites.
If only they’d let us fly with them.
