What makes the void worse then fel?

Sargeras’ justification for forming the burning legion was to create an army to fight the void. But instead of fighting the void he’s been trying to decimate all of reality so the void will have nothing to consume… so what’s the difference? Either way reality is destroyed?

That one guy in nighthold shows you the universe, then he shows it destroyed by the legion and liek “you think that’s bad NOW LOOK AT THIS” and all it changes as all the fel green planets became void purple… okay??? Why is the void scarrier than legion or fel?

Sargeras is scared of tentacles

I would assume because the void is nothingness and brings about a certain peace while fel is destruction and consuming.

I’m not sure since I am not well versed in the lore.

better to reign in hell than serve in heaven

That makes the void sound better.

Fel is like a raging wildfire, just wants to spread everywhere

Void wants to consume all life, nothing remains when its done

Fel is like the Taliban. Void is like ISIS. Even the Taliban hate ISIS.

It does, I totally misread your question lol!

I’d make the argument that fel is more destructive. But Void is more a corrupter.

Sure some folks get corrupted with fel but void always had more a insanity vibe. Your typical cosmic horror stuff.

Death is final. Insanity ain’t. Ya know?

Fel corrupts, but you’re still there. The Burning Legion had a civilization going, a society, even though a destructive and brutal one.

The Void’s endgame is the complete obliteration of reality and then itself.

Note that the Old Gods, though agents of the Void, are still not the Void itself. Old Gods will set up fleshy, tentacly, insectoid empires, and grind them into the ground through sacrifices and madness. That’s their flawed, impure take on entropy. The Void through? Void Lords themselves are currently incapable of manifesting in our plane. But if they were, they would annihilate everything. No cults, no empires, no flesh. Nothing.

Fel is just recreational, man.

They’re nihilists, Donny. They believe in nothing.

Their logic is: It’s darker in color so it’s scary.

I looked into my wallet and saw a void… Then I fel & hurt my ankle.

I’ll always stand by that the rewrite to make Sargeras terrified of void, and the Legion is just there to “destroy everything to stop it” - was a terrible mistake.

Sargeras should have been his own villain with his own universe-dominating ambitions, as it originally was. Making him tied to the whole void story by saying he was afraid of it too…was silly.

I agree. Sargeras being a Fallen Titan was good and badass, and scary in its own right. A fallen Titan? The literal creators of the universe? We’re screwed.

He didn’t have to oppose the Void. He could very well just have decided to remake the universe according to his own designs, the same as Melkor in Lord of the Rings mythos.

Actually, introducing the Void into the mythology of the Burning Legion and Sargeras only succeeded in muddying the waters and diminish either’s threat.

Because purple = win

Yeah. It just became weird.

Like originally the Eredar joining Sargares for power made more sense. They were the first using magic and Kil’jaedan and Archimonde wanted more power. Boom, burning legion.

Afterwards? Well Kil’jaedan and Archimonde agree the universe isn’t worth it and want to burn everything away too.

Doesn’t feel the same

sargeras really didnt like the color purple
