What makes tanking so un-fun?

I mean… I don’t think its a matter of people “skipping” that part because you can’t really “fix” the community which is the biggest issue.

I personally commented for the case of guild and such that maybe re-evaluating how many tanks you bring to a raid could help bolster their numbers as well considering they are by far the least required in number by guilds. 2 tanks, 3 for rare/special situations, sometimes even just 1 for some bosses. Designing raids with 4 tanks in mind instead could help.

I also commented that making Tanking easier could help as they already have more on their plates than any other role as they have the same responsibilities as DPS while also having to know the insides and out of content far more than the other roles as well as proper positioning and maneuvering.

Again though, none of that matter’s if the biggest issue isn’t tackled and that issue is that its a community problem and you can’t force people to be different. The community is the biggest reason we don’t have many tanks and that’s not really a problem that can be “fixed” or “patched”
