What made you like legion? Playing the remix really helped re kindle my love for it, I didn’t realize how good it was. I also get the vibe they don’t make x packs like this anymore, and what could they do to make them more like it?
Good story.
What I was able to play, the story right off the bat.
I was starting to get a bit jaded when those dumdumb ship farming stuff had to be done, but then my computer borked.
Class-driven story telling is my favorite aspect about Legion. Everyone had a part to play in pushing back the invasion. They went even further with it though by giving every class its own mount, and every spec of every class stylized weapons to suit their theme.
I’ll be shocked if Blizzard ever sinks the dev time into making another Legion like expansion, but I’d love to see it
when they made AP rain out of the sky and let you buy legendaries.
Lemix is ever so slightly better then legion because no legondaries. I did not care for legion what so ever the game was to RNG to start with and left a very bad taste in my mouth
I came back during legion and hated it. Suramar was terrible and the class stuff junk.
Artifacts were my favorite part of legion, i wish we had gotten them for longer than a single expansion, thoughi do know why we didnt.
The story
The charismatic villains.
Along with charismatic heroes.
And naturally, there’s also the music ![]()
The Legion expansion made you feel that the potential for both one’s life and even spirit beyond death — were both limitless ![]()
…
Then Shadowlands made a mockery of it all ![]()
Hence why I’m VERY open to them soft retconning various aspects from Shadowlands ![]()
End of Legion you could buy legendaries with a particular currency.
The story if you listen to the older audio books the lore was great.
Artifact weapon appearances. Gave me a reason to play all classes all specs and collect them.
Green is my favorite color.
It was a total 180 from WoD, like they took all their creative power and shoved it into a single expansion. Also WoW token for Blizzard Balance became a thing. BFA became a clone, just not as good and way too much random loot.
I can tell you what made me dislike it: Ruining specs.
Ret was ruined, shadow priest was ruined, demonology warlock was ruined. (talking pvp wise, dunno about pve)
Legion was pretty heavy on the story, and I liked that.
Blizz went pretty deep fleshing out lore, even having books in our order halls that we could expand.
Besides that, small details like Tyrathan Khort being at Voljin’s funeral.
New Characters like the Nightbourne cast, as well as the Drogbar, and the Court of Farondis.
Xera being blown to bits.
The Alliance attacking the Warchief at Stormheim led to the Burning of Teldrassil, so it was fun seeing that plot line through. During Legion, playing Stormheim as Horde felt like an insult, an Alliance power fantasy - but burning Teldrassil was a small bit of justice. So hindsight made Legion even better.
i mean, almost all of it.
first and foremost, as an altoholic i loved all the class-specific content. every toon i played felt like a different experience. class identity has never been better.
as a dopamine fiend, i loooooooooved whenever i looted a legendary, regardless if it was BIS or not. i still get a thrill when i loot one while running old Legion raids even though they’re completely useless.
i loved the artifact system, especially all the appearances. many of them are still the best looking weapons in the game.
all the openworld content was great: zones, questing, assaults, invasion points, scenarios, mage tower, etc.
pretty much the only thing i didn’t really like was the aesthetic; the spiky green alien theme was not pleasant to look at. and mob density was a total PITA especially when it seemed like they all had daze. oh, and the changes they made to professions weren’t great.
easily my favorite expansion. i was completely addicted from start to finish.
I really liked the Druid lore, and all the cool changes for hunter that came with it. Tameable gryphons for example. ![]()
To be honest, I’m lowkey hoping she’s not perma dead — Just so we can see her
“WHAT THE F#%^!?”
reaction @ Illidan having blown her up
![]()
“Well that was um … Unexpected.”
Bonus points if A’dal is there to be like: “I told you so.” ![]()
My favorite bit of Legion was the PVP world quests in the towers and stuff. Sadly theyre not part of remix.
The Legion was the primary antagonists of the setting ever since WC3. They were the architects of basically every woe to befall Azeroth.
Elves explode the well of eternity. The Legion.
Orcish Horde invading? Leading to some kind of world of warcraft? Legion did it.
Zombie plague? Legion again.
Legion was basically the conclusion of Warcraft. Everything after that had to pivot and recontextualize the setting. Which lead us to the Marvel cosmic stuff we find ourselves in since BfA.
Mythic+, best thing to ever happened to the game.
Replaying it, I realize that I didn’t actually like “Legion” at all.
What I liked was having Ashbringer after almost a decade of lusting for it.
Also the Broken Shore, Tomb of Sargeras, and the Argus zones were pretty cool. Cutting a path through swathes of Demons, taking the fight to the Legion. Good stuff. A shame I peaced out before the Argus raid.
