My first trial char was a horde belf hunter, loved wow enough after first 2 zones but being a veteran MMO player, I picked based on useful sounding racials and night elf stealth racial to force drop combat sounded way too useful, that’s what started me on my path to being devoted to the alliance.
When you saw Night Elf Mohawks, or Princes of Darkness. Or a puntable adult baby with some kind of magical affluence.
Choosing to be undead warlock was the only meta choice starting this game.
Also all the cool people played Horde.

Friends were alliance…not that any of them ever play now. The day I made my first horde toon though, that was nice. Now I play both but outside of this one I play Horde more collectively.

Loved playing NE in Warcraft III, immediately made a NE Priestess as soon as the servers turned on.
And 16 years later, here we are. This character is old enough to drive

It was Vanilla, my then-husband wanted to be a paladin. So we were Alliance.
My friends were playing Horde in Wotlk…

I started Alliance back in 2005, because my friends from EQ were alliance. When I made a horde toon, I fell in love with the horde side. Have mostly played Horde since

The alliance side of me loved the horde in me… the horde side realized the alliance side was slowly making me dead inside :P.

Always was a fan of the Human kingdom stories in WC 1, 2, & 3. (I liked the others too just not as much.) And coming from Diablo 2 where my favorite class is Paladin and how much I thought Uther was awesome. That’s why I went Alliance. No longer human, but still a paladin.
My older brother forced me to go Horde because that’s what he mained. Now I play both factions.
For me it was easy to choose. My favorite race in any RPG or MMORPG is elves, at the time i started back in Sept 05 only alliance had elves as playable race
When a friend installed Warcraft on my first PC I choose Orcs because was green and horrendous.

Went with Horde, as I like villains in General. Alliance seemed too goody goody (boring), but now I have maybe 85/15 ratio. Majority still Horde

When I first started playing WoW I was 16 years old sometime during wotlk. I was hired into a summer work program as an office clerk’s assistant (I answered the phones and took messages). I was into video games and my boss asked me if I had ever tried World of Warcraft, which I hadn’t, so he talked me into it!
I got it installed eventually and at the character creation screen I REALLY wanted to be a blood elf, but he told me he was Alliance. So I made myself a night elf huntress so I would at least have one friend to play with, and then 2 days later he told me he decided to quit playing WoW for RuneScape. xD

for warcraft 3, i want to play like arthas, a human paladin, i like orcs and i try play orc warrior but the horde feel so diferent, i don´t like the horde, any race or any city they have, is like ugh
Night Elf Art on the install discs back in vanilla and then…then the BC came out and well Blood Elves were released and the rest is history.
