Very first toon I made was a human warrior. I ran around with my cloth gear cause it gave me more stam and I thought the int would help me lvl faster. Saw a player with pets and stood in goldshire for a few hours asking how to get a pet but no-one was helpful. I figured out I need to make a hunter so made a orc hunter, got bored with him at around lvl 35-40 and made an undead warrior. Played warrior rest of vanilla and bc. When BC came out I made a bloodelf rogue and raided with warrior and rouge all through BC. still have both toons on their original servers. however my warrior went from undead to goblin then to orc. don’t really play them much since the server they are on is dead. Though through out the years I have leveled each class to max on both ally and horde.
Started off as a tauren warrior since that’s where all my friends played. But my hands down favorite is human. Just like the way they look in gear, with no imperfections like every other race, be it hoofs, tails, ears, eye brows ect. Dream race is to be a Titan-Watcher. They always look amazing.
Nelf hunter because . . . Tolkien
When I first joined it was during WOD but I hardly played until BFA.
That being said I chose a Tauren because I myself am a Taurus. I also chose a Paladin, not becuase im religious but because I did feel like it was the class with the most hope in life in a dying faithless world…AS sad as it sounds thats how i felt and still do feel.
So I just felt like it resonated with me the most. Second class I chose was a hunter because I love animals IRL as well.
Unfortunately if your first starting a computer game let alone WOW its very hard to get used to the hotbars and rememebering what they all do. IT did feel magical to me still but alot of hate towards me as a player for being brand new at the time.
After installing the game (4 CDs I think?), and watching the original schematic, I saw a cow man sprinkle this little handful of magic dust, down onto the plains.
I was hooked!
So my first guy was a Tauren Shaman.
Also… I’m guessing that if the Druid shown in the initial intro was Tauren rather than Night Elf, I would’ve been a Tauren Druid instead of Shaman.
My first toon was a human warrior and I chose that because I played as a Barb in the original D2 and I thought maybe they were close in the same play style.
my very first toon in late classic was a night elf druid. i just loved the idea of shapeshifting. I had no idea what I was doing in the game. I was part of a guild but they had no idea or interest in actually helping people learn the game and gear up. but they cheered when i typed “ding” in guild chat, so I had that going for me.
I joined a horde guild in 2007 with a guy i knew in real life. I decided to make what I thought would be the most opposite toon possible from that druid, so I made an undead warlock. I have this toon at max level but he isn’t my main.
I am maining a DH (mostly vengeance) because of the “refusal of the gift” cinematic from legion (“I AM MY SCARS!!!”) and a totally sweet machinima DH video (IKedit channel). i also really dig my undead prot warrior because smash faces with shield and dancing…
i played classic when it rebooted and made a dwarf warrior. I did this so I could macro /laugh with /cast dynamite so that EVERY SINGLE TIME he tossed dynamite, he laughed.
You lived through the tough times, lol.
Human Paladin back in Lich King because my dad played a paladin, and humans were nice and simple, or because my mom played a human mage lol.
I made a Blood Elf Paladin because all my friends were playing for the Horde and I didn’t like the aesthetics of the others horde races,
Paladin, because I thought it was the best class at all!!!, but know that I tried every other class, I made the best choice :'c (Debi jugar Shaman primero)
Chose a night elf because I loved the night elf areas, and chose a hunter because archery was the only sport I was any good at. Started two weeks into Burning Crusade.
Dwarf Hunter w/ Bear pet
Beacuse of the trailer
My first toon was a Tauren Druid because I always enjoyed being a nature-focused caster in fantasy settings and there were MANY inside jokes throughout my youth about a cartoony moose I used to draw on everything, so a Tauren was the closest I could get back in Cata.
Blood Elf Paladin. I’ve always been a fan of the magic knight architype and the only reason I choose Blood elf was because Orcs weren’t an option, and I didn’t care for how armor looked on Taurens at the time.
Undead Warlock.
I jumped into WoW during early BC and was all excited to play with the largest guild on Proudmoore. I made myself a dwarf hunter like the guy in the cinematic only to find out that the guild I was being invited to was …Horde. Woops.
Decided to make the UGLIEST most mean looking guy I could make. hehe.
That guild was FULL of healers and never had any tanks so I finally rolled a Tauren Druid and mained him all the way to SL where i switched to BM monk and now Undead Prot Warrior.
I chose a hunter (which is still my main) because I love archery in real life and video games. I chose night elf because I loved the nightsaber mounts.
Horde is stronger
My friend who showed me the game was playing a Blood Elf
Rogue is vey very dark
I was 14
Nigh Elf Hunter.
Coming from a Dungeons and Dragons mindset, I always played an Elf Ranger, and hunter was he closest to that by far. (also why I picked Alliance, familiar DnD races)
Tauren Druid.
Oh, all the jokes I had with a walking, talking, shape shifting cow. I thought it would be silly and fun to play. She was my main for 5 years.
I wanted Plainsrunning. In Beta I’d only seen it from afar, but in Retail I wanted it. So I made a Tauren Druid. Turned out you couldn’t Plainsrun in 1.0, but alas, that’s how it all started and remained until Worgen came out, which were too cool to not switch sides for.
