What lvl to start PVP at?

I’ve been thinking about trying PvP. At what lvl should one get their feet wet? Should I be waiting till I’m at 80? Thanks!

What kind of pvp? Honor get is 665, mix in a few tier pieces, weapon and bloody token pieces and you’re low 670s and have most of your power spikes.

Comp Stomp is active now for pvp-less honor grinding. :dracthyr_love_animated:

You might run into nasty stuff at lower brackets than 80 that would turn you off to PVP.
It’s meant to be ‘balanced’ around max level, not lower brackets where most people are there to grief in one way or another.

But yeah, if you’re already max level-- everything Kennie said.

Cheers to being pvp-curious though! /wink

Yes. And then as Kennie suggested, do comp stomp to get a full set of honor gear (if you make it to level 80 while it is still the brawl)

I started PvP at level 10 when bgs are unlocked so i guess then

You can try it at any level, but I think the experience will be most realistic at max level!

trying to recollect how random battlegrounds work, if you are level 42, i think it will bump u to level 49 in random battlegrounds. if you are 37, then to 39. you get the point.

just keep that in mind, if you intend to PvP while leveling. When your level is closer to 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79 - u will have more talent points invested. sometimes that helps in PVP.

overall, i remember getting a good chunk of experience from daily random battlegrounds and even a pleasant experience.

You are better off waiting until 80 for two reasons.
First reason: You have never PvPed before.
You will gain honor levels from participating in PvP activities. You will be honor level 0.
When you first start out you are put into a pool of players that are HL 30 (I think?) and below. You will be fighting against players that are also new to PvP.
If you increase your honor level while below level cap by the time you hit 80 you will be thrown into the mix with the rest of us right when you hit max with no gear.
You are better off abusing the time you have to learn your max level character and accumulate some gear before you are thrown in there with us.

We are degens from the north that have been playing this game way too long and have put in way to much time and effort learning all of the mechanics and you will just be like wtf are these nerds? Where did they come from, and how do I get away from them?
You can’t, so avoid us as long as you can.

Second reason: Sub 80 PvP has limited activities, and and what you can do is not a great experience most of the time.
Low level PvP is littered with bots and people exploiting sync queues.
All you need to know about that is they will ruin the experience for you and everyone else by being unkillable while also killing you in one hit.

Level up, learn your class basics, get to 80, check out some guides, start running random bgs to learn your PvP basics.
What Kennie outlined for gearing is spot on.
He’s a great Canadian foxfriend to us all.
