During vanilla, I rolled a rogue and it took me ~ 3 months to hit 60.
I hit 60 on classic this past weekend (1month?) with much less /played. Questing addons are a godsend as without it I may be level 40 just based on memory and reading. You?

I don’t use questing add-ons, so whatever level I am.
Just dinged level 39 last night WITH the addon, but I read all the quests anyway because it’s been so long I’ve just been enjoying it all. Maybe 35 given I would also need to figure out which mobs I needed?
Don’t use a quest add-on. So… you’re lookin’ at it.
I’m another one that doesn’t use a quest addon, so 38 it is!
Grinding mobs doesn’t require a questing addon.

Yes I use Questie.
The thrill of trying out all the cool quest addons is the only reason I’m even playing this game.
just dinged 31 last night and have not used any questing add-on.
sometimes i have to read the quest text a few times to figure out where to godlike last night where i headed the wrong way and couldn’t find the mob at first. And on occasion i’ll go to wowhead to get a hint
I too spent months in vanilla getting to 60 but with quest addons and various forums given us all info needed, I am able to do it in maybe 1/4th of the time - maybe 1/3rd.
No addons - double my /played
No, addons used yet. I’ll probably hit 44 today
I don’t and wouldn’t use a quest AddOn. It sort of defeats the purpose of having an open world for me.
GO HERE DO THIS TASK HIT MAX LEVEL FAST SO YOU CAN GRIND DUNGEONS FOR PRE RAID BIS GEAR SO YOU CAN GRIND RAIDS FOR GEAR REPEAT AFTER ME I AM FREE
57 characters.
Wouldn’t have taken me much longer. Wowhead makes finding things easier and I’m familiar enough with the game that I know where a lot of things are.

the same. i prefer to run blindly into situations, makes for that true, classic experience. like trying to run to kargath from the south instead of the north at level 30.
Don’t use quest add-ons. I only recently installed any add-ons at all (Titan and Recount only).
Though, I will say that I do reference WoWHead pretty consistently but mostly just for an assessment on what to expect difficulty wise or special caveats to things that aren’t made clear in the quest text. For the most part, I already am intimately familiar with the game world so I already know whereabouts I’m going. It is helpful to know if one mob of a group has a higher drop rate than others, though.
Don’t use questing addons, ain’t that hard to read or look up where “hidden” quests are. A lot of it comes from memory too.
I haven’t used any questing related addons. Admittedly, I have spent a fair amount of time working on professions and helping low-level groups with quests and dungeons.
I’m taking my sweet time exploring the world, experiencing things as they were designed to be: discovered. This doesn’t mean others are wrong on how they play, mind you, so don’t shame others for playing their way.
