Also does that mean if I make a DK now they’ll be a comparatively higher level then if I made them in SL. Like with the level squish a level 55 death knight would be reduced to what 25?ish. So that’s a 15 level advantage over new ones starting in SL. In the long run I’m sure it won’t matter especially with time to level up being drastically reduced. Still it is interesting.
New death knights and demon hunters will start at level 1. 
If you’re at 55 now then you’ll be scaled down to somewhere, probably 20-22 ish.

With the Shadowland expansion release, all hero classes should lose there special status and start at level 1.
If Blizzard don’t standardize the leveling for every classes, i expect hero classes to start around but not over level 10 (at the level you choose the expansion you want to level in with Chromie).
There is too much DK, they should start at level -5 imo.

The only newly made characters in SL that will start above LVL 1 are allied races who will start at LVL 10.
Interesting. Why can they have DKs and DH start at 1 but allied races still get a boost?

They’ve mutilated the DK starting zone since they implemented AR’s into the mix.
Idk if all created DK’s go through this new…“zone”, if you can even call it that, but I know the AR DK start is all of 4 quests I believe, atop ICC. lol
Yep. I assume it’s because they don’t have a zone that can be used for that 1 to 10 section before all the xpacs become available. Where as the DK and DH starting zones can be used for that.
Plus unlike DK and DH afaik you will still have to unlock ARs. So to still make people do all the work to unlock them and force them to start at LVL 1 would be kind of a jerk move. So they keep it a perk of the unlock process.
AR and CR have different starting zones
CR still have that really long quest with Arthas

If DKs start at level 1- the only remaining “hero class” trait remaining, how are they a hero class?
Thats the point, they are removing the concept of Hero class, same for DH
Ah cool, makes me feel a little better. I made a Pandarian DK and a Vulperian DK the other day and almost fell out of my chair. lmao

Unique class based customisation options.
According to Wowhead:
Blizzard has announced that, as part of the level squish, Demon Hunters and Death Knights will start at level 1 in Shadowlands, instead of level 98 and 55 respectively. Their original starting zone experiences will still be available as optional starting experiences.
I dislike that it’s optional to go through their starting zones. And that they don’t start at a higher level. That’s part of what makes them hero classes.

4 quests would be an improvement… it’s just a single quest to use an action then you get sent to your faction capital.
