What Level does enchanting have to be to DE WOTLK items?

Hey, Just wondering if anyone knows what level enchanting has to be to DE WotLK items? AS i believe it had to be 270ish to DE TBC items.

I think you’d need to be no more than 25 below the previous expansion’s cap to start d/eing items in the current expansion, for classic servers…? (So, 275 for BC, 350 for WotLK)

Prior to the profession revamp, DEing was actually gated by item level rather than the expac the item came from, although generally the items from expansions did not overlap much.

The lowest ilvl greens in WotLK were/are/will be (oh so many tenses) 138, and these can be DE’d with 325 skill. That does seem lower than you would expect but I think they didn’t want people to be stuck in an impossible loop of not being able to DE things to level up the skill to be able to DE things - so they made DE skill 25 lower than you might expect.

325 will also let you DE the lowest level blues you might get (such as drops in the entry level dungeons) which are typically ilvl 155.
