I am curious what kind of servers operate the WOW services. Is it a UNIVAC 1106 or something a little more modern?
Lot’s of them, I’m assuming, since they have multiple data centres. We even have one down here in Oz, in Sydney. Though ours I think is an Atari…
You mean like an Atari XE or an Atari 2600?

I dunno, which one has a nanna nap after lunch more often?
You sure it isn’t the Commodore PET?
I take it the Cloud search was unproductive?
I narrowed down my search for WOW cloud but I no longer believe a cloud of WOW is possible. I am now researching the servertype of WOW in order to understand the networking and try to get a job at BLIZ.
Maybe ask them? Since they vacancies in Engineering & Technology, it probably wouldn’t be an issue if you asked them what sort of technical knowhow they are after.
Hamster Wheel.
Ask who, ION?
They have a careers tab down at the bottom of the page. You could also try emailing them and talk about potential positions at their company.
Um Denny’s late night server
I don’t think blizz realizes they have to eventually replace the hamsters. Even the dead need rest.
I am very familiar with IBM Token Ring networks.
Ask the website listing the jobs?
They use IHOP servers.
Raspberry Pi, obviously.
lol he wouldn’t know, the system isn’t bleeding edge and elitist. #fireion
