What kind of music do you listen to while playing?
Im a hard style or phonk of keys
Edm and techno for raid
And random shuffle for everything else.
what kinda got me inspire to play… if you know it your og in my book why you play beside the South park ep
This how I like to image death knight when they pvp
The in game bgm and the sound of being stun locked in pvp
I have a WoW playlist. I suppose you could call it Chill. It’s mostly remixes or alternative tracks done with a chill-out vibe.
Stuff like Twenty One Pilots, Mumford & Sons, Avicii, Filous, Rosi Golan, etc.

Rock from the 1960s to the . . . uh . . . now.
Me when I saw Prime catagorize Green Day as “classic”:
Sippin on straight chlorine
Want something world boss or something fit bosses like deathwing… if you grew up with this your real OG of time
I really enjoy listening to Drum and Bass
Or ‘The Presets’ / that style of music.
But I also do enjoy the game music, especially the MOP ost and all the Inn music.
I’ve been on a Marilyn Manson kick lately. Really like his newest album, especially raise the red flag.
Not really music, but I do listen to audiobooks.
Otherwise … I actually quite like the in-game music quite a lot.
I just put every song I’ve ever liked into a big playlist and hit shuffle
The RNG decides
I cant listen to anything with lyrics while playing. Lyrics too distracting.
So classical, or instrumental type stuff. Violins. Bagpipes. Acordians.
Right now my guilty pleasure is polka. The peppiness gets me going through m+ and raids.
whatever comes up on shuffle. it could be anything from Rammstein to Kyary Pamyu to random remixes from youtube. as long as there’s no heavy bass. it makes me physically ill.
Depends on what content I’m doing:
- Raids or Delves is usually some genre of metal and rock
- Leveling is generally some ASMR
- World Quests or end-game stuff like Siren’s Isle is usually Synthwave or Retrowave
bagpipes. based.
If I’m listening to music while playing (rather than maybe watching something on a second monitor, listening to an audiobook, or just focusing fully on game) it usually like Lo Fi or something similar. Nothing to distracting, but maybe something with a bit of a beat.
Not WoW, but when I was doing a recent replay of Nioh 1/2, I found these Japanese inspired “trip hop” (I don’t know what that means. That’s just what the YouTube channel called it). It was a bit slow, but I turned it up to like x1.5 play speed and that got a good pace going. Really helped with the rhythm of those games.
All depends on what I’m doing in game. Raiding or stuff where I may need to focus? EDM/ metal. Mount farming/ Achievement hunting? DnD background playlists. Levelling a new character? LoFi
I generally don’t, since the game’s audio is part of my in-game situational awareness.
Either the in-game music from WoW itself (TWW has had some pretty great music) or music from one of my two vast playlists-
One playlist is video game music from various games,
The other is actual songs and stuff.
Lol, the last song I listened to, was:
Shake That - Eminem
Was grinding dungeons as I listened.
