Depends, I literally make my own music as a bard sooo, when not listening to that or playing for someone else, usually I’ll put on some MetalGear Solid Revengeance OSTs on loop while in Hearthstone/WoW.

Its not always music , somethime while either grinding or farming like in poe2 . I turn a podcast on either from news networks, star talk , or just a documentary . This way I can do monotonous stuff and not feel bored.

It’s very rare I listen to music while playing , but if I do it’s normally something like Led Zeppelin, Rush , AC/DC … Yngwie or Sach thrown in if I’m vibing to guitar works etc
But I like a lot of varied stuff too much to mention… I just normally don’t listen during games I play podcasts or just the sounds/music of the game.

I just listen to the game music. Its set pretty low at 15% so I can watch movies or tv shows on the other monitor.
Like a lot of people have said, depends on what im doing in-game.
Solo Shuffle Arenas and a beer on my desk im going to be playing rock/metal/heavy metal.
If its just tuesday and i got the day off Ill pour a cup of coffee and start the day out with something half chill like our lady peace or lofi or instrumental stuff for a bit and do some gathering/professions work.
If im questing proper ill turn off my music alltogether or maybe throw on the in-game music so i can listen to the voice actors and pay more attention and take my time more when im reading quest dialogue.
I’ve been literally trying to build this perfect “tripped out” playlist like spaced out/trippy or blissfully peaceful and unique stuff. I always delete it before im finished with it because im not content with it and always end up adding the same songs back there again.
First two songs are always “planet caravan by Pantera” and “his majesty the destert” by Down
Found a few pieces I liked by this fellow not too long ago and ended up checking out the rest of their stuff and liking most of it as well.

Mashups, independent artists, the occasional Broadway performance, sea shanties, the list goes on.
Most recently, however?
Shadow the Hedgehog soundtrack while I play Demon Hunter.
I generally listen to hard EDM, old school hip hop, or metal.
Depending on my mood… Though I prefer music with attitude.
Not exclusive to WoW, or gaming however. It’s just a natural constant in my life.
