What iLvl are you all shooting for on Sept 10th? I’m thinking 580 as that’s the easiest to upgrade to prior to needing crests… Anyone shooting for higher?
Weathered crests are safe to use at this point, so are carved unless you really care about upgrading a weapon from M0.
Most efficient thing to do right now is get a bunch of enchanted weathered crests and use them to get crafted 590s made. Prices might still be a little high but middle of next week they’ll have tanked due to people all having enough knowledge to make stuff.
Bonus this doesn’t even use your flightstones.

What makes you say the carved crests are okay to use now? Definitely curious as it doesn’t seem like anyone is high enough to use those for crafting yet.

Carved are OK to use for upgrading. They don’t have a crafting function if I recall (Drakes didn’t in DF Either).
You only get carved crests from weekly events and renown track 1 offs right now. They’re used to upgade an item from 593 to 606, such as one of the renown track epics or the recently discovered city of threads trash drops.
Weathered = Whelping = LFR
Carved = Drake = Normal
Runed = Wyrm = Heroic
Gilded = Aspect = Mythic

Yea, any crest below crafting level is safe, because once you get to a level it doesn’t require crests anymore, so any crests you can get now are fair game
We’re doing some math on what to do with the heroic and mythic crests atm, it hinges a bit on when the “kill ansurek” quest unlocks.
I plan to do M-0 world tours. I planned my schedule around having more time next week than this week. I am actually working long days now so I can take time off for the week of M-0 and first week of M+. I hope to have full veteran gear when keys open.

575 to start for mythic 0s week, then 595 for mythic+ is what our group was aiming for.
World tour of 0s the first day, then switching to targeting trinkets and weapons the rest of the week and getting in some raid boss kills.

I’m sitting at 588 on the dot atm, and plan to gain 10 ilvl on 3 items next week for another 30 ilvl. So 589.94? If I got my math right.
Remember you’re also gonna have bountiful delves that week, and a BUNCH of keys so also a bunch of guaranteed 606 ilvl items. 4-5 keys a week + 4 from reps. Should be 16 in bags going up to 20-21 from that week’s stuff.

Going for 585-590 for opening week of M0’s.
Once that week comes around, I’ll plow through T8 bountiful delves, 1600 in PvP for the free tier piece, M0 world tour, and get in some raid.

Based on how easy world content is at 540…probably gonna stop now for a while.
I really dont like getting to the point of one shotting crap in current content.

I’m going to finish up the rest of the zones fully, almost done with Hallowfall now and then just Azj-Kahet. Will spam heroics to get to 571+ gear and upgrade what I can to sit at around 580-ish. ^=^

I don’t know what content you do, if it’s just world yea, but we’re heading towards what might be one of the hardest m+ seasons ever, so I’m definitely gearing up

Yeah, I did the main questline first…now Im 80 gonna go back and relax and do all the side questing.
Trying very hard to not touch alts until I get every quest I can see done on this first one.
I’ll bet 570+ would probably smoke all that world trash like cheap cigars, lol.
Kinda wish the scaling in the game were better…more consistent.
