Well leveling alts is more enjoyable with the XP changes(confirmed by self), though it still could use some work with talent trees and the frequency of spell unlocks so it feels like you’re actually working towards something. At the moment, my mage just hit 80 and I’m kind of getting that similar sloggish feeling again, knowing it’ll be another 10 levels before my toon unlocks anything new.
Essentially, mogs and leveling alts.
I bought 6 months in June, then immediately unsubbed so it wouldn’t auto renew. Glad I did, since I have 1 month left, and I don’t see much reason to keep going. I’m “playing” now because it’s paid for.
I may give FFXIV a try, but it’s getting quite a few complaints from it’s players as well.
Currently, I log on to do the invasions, but I don’t need gear from them any more. All that’s left are the 2K gold emissaries, and the darkshore quest reward every few weeks, but those aren’t worth $15 per month to me.

I keep trying to find ways to have fun. I used to like leveling alts by soloing dungeons, but that’s not really an option anymore and normal leveling is just a lightning fast mindless abomination right now. Casual PVE and PVP are just pretty painful. I don’t feel like collecting cosmetics because I don’t care about the game they exist in very much.
I only have a few days left on the token I popped and have only been using it for RP.
All my actual game time has been FFXIV more or less.
I probably won’t resub for a while. 8.1 didn’t fix enough and a new raid in this still over all not very fun game isn’t enough for me.
The leveling in this expac is the best its been in a long time. I LOVE allied races so far
Leveling alts, unlocking allied races, and finally promising myself in going to finally level a hordie from 1-120 and unlock all their races too.
It’s a ton of content horde side I’ve never seen.
Mythic +, old quests and lore (finally finished Storm Peaks questline tonight after starting it 9.5 years ago!), transmog, etc.
There’s a lot to keep me satisfied (just tanked my first +11 alongside doing Stormpeaks so I feel pretty varied in my pursuits).
I’m enjoying my time in-game but I hope ya find that spark you’re talking about!
The Goldshire Inn keeps me plenty entertained and satisfied during those drought moments. If you’ve never been than I highly recommend a visit at least once to really have the place feel you. I promise I’ll be naughty.

Goldshire on MG is only amusing if you’re a deviant, an incel or some other type who can’t get any. It’s really THAT repulsive and desperate.

Humour my dear, it’ll take ages off those creases on your skin. Try it sometime, you might even like it.

Actually started playing with a friend from class, just screwing around doing WQs, transmog runs, and whatever else. I’d honestly still probably be playing if I was just going solo, but playing with other people cranks the fun up more.
Also, started getting into PvP more, finding that pretty fun.
Not much is really exciting me about the game at the moment. In Legion I just stopped raiding since I did not have the time to keep up with grinding AP and running Mythic + to stay raid ready. I think I was just burned out by the constant grind added to the game.
BFA kept the same grind so without raiding there is really nothing holding me to the game any more. I still go thru the motions of playing. Doing a few WQ’s to get some chances at gear. Do a random warfront to try and get some gear. I have zero interest in Mythic+.
I will be letting my sub lapse and likely wait until all of raid finder is out and resub for a bit to finish that and let my sub lapse again.
If the grind continues the next expansion I doubt I will even buy it or at least wait for a 50%+ sale to get it.
I have 2 or 3 friends I log in to play with. This last raid tier was fun, the first few times through, although it has been around too long now. Next raid tier looks fun.
Eliminate the friends, and I don’t know if I’d stay if they left. And if the next raid tier is bad, I am not sure the friends could keep me in, unless we all changed our attention to M+.
