Saw a thread like this a week(ish) ago pertaining to Classic, so now I’m genuinely curious as to what keeps you playing retail. Is it your guild, friends, the raid scene, mythic plus, pvp? Or are you farming tmogs and mounts?
I mean I’m not going to play Classic so I guess that lol.
Played Classic for like a month and it was super boring as expected.
more to do and see also i dont have to finger ninja as much.
I like the fishing better in retail, more options for bobbers. (and more fish to fish up in general.)
Mostly because I enjoy the game.
My friends mostly.
That and I can play for free. Just have to make enough gold every month and that isn’t too difficult to pull off.
Oh, and I like participating on the forums.
I played more than 365 days of time on vanilla. Cleared all the raids and got GM.
Unless all my friends are going classic, I would too.
If your referring to classic that’s funny. While I’m glad it’s there, it’s not for me. Super boring.
Coming from a content lacking game known as Overwatch, WoW was refreshing. There’s a billion things to do, so that’s my reason
I played back then and pvp was not my thing. Seeing how it turned out I made the correct choice for myself.
It makes playing wow classic “free”(kinda… at 10k gold per hour it’s kinda a job but meh).
I can’t transmog in classic, for starters.
If I weren’t playing retail, though, I wouldn’t be playing classic either, I’d be over in SWTOR swinging double lightsabers at people and hitting on Lana.
I get to adventure thru an amazing fantasy land during dark and dangerous times!
But for the record, it should be noted, as soon as I am done here, I have character waiting for me in Classic.
Dunno aye, nothing better to do with my time currently and have a solid interest in Shadowlands. Oh and grinding gold painstakingly at the end of the expansion for my longboi.
I play Classic a bit, but maybe two or so hours a week and sometimes spread out across that week. Unfortunately I just can’t replicate the naivety I had nor the circumstances I had back when I first played this game. It’s a different experience this time, which is nice, but not exactly something that pulls me in and makes me want to dedicate my time to; I’d rather tick boxes in retail leading up to SL.
Currently raiding and doing sales
(GOLD ONLY)
guild and getting my alts ready for SL.
currently no longer raiding until SL, doing 15’s sometimes 20s… whenever I feel like only.
Transmog, mounts, pets, achievements, and race/class variety.
I tried playing classic but the little time I have kind of makes it boring tbh. It was fun when I did have time but less time and progression so little makes it seem boring for me tbh. Since Retail progression is a bit faster it keeps me going. Don’t get me wrong classic was much more fun then retail is but it takes a lot of time.
The reason why I’m still playing classic is to get ready before shadowlands drops. Everyone does it when it’s near drop date.
It’s something social to do a couple times a week. I like raiding.
Currently, my guild is trying to progress through Mythic BoD with like 15 people. Hitting a wall at Jaina, she’s tough, and a health sponge.
Cosmetics.
I love collecting all the mounts, pets, titles, and transmogs.
