One of our guild groups just broke a record number of deaths in an M+ this week. The new record is 139. The old record was 121 from BfA.
The affix was explosions and burst.

Was your group’s goal to not kill any explosives? I don’t understand how you got to 139. I thought my 50 in ToP was bad.

I have a don’t drop group policy.
Think the highest I’ve gotten to is about 80 though.
What’s the point? Wipefests are a good time to experiment in harder keys.

i think we got to 100 or so in a NW, most deaths on the second boss. this was a +8 or +9 during tyrannical week way before the nerfs, like week 2 or whatever. so we were undergeared and figuring out the strat as we went. it was a guild group so nobody quit, though we eventually realized we weren’t going to kill it and left.

It was 111 deaths on a +11 AD in BFA - took over an hour and a half. It was a pug, too, and we had a good time, lol. Afterward we all swapped btags and I still keep in touch with them.

No. It 's actually unusual to have so many deaths. But the team that held the last record from BfA was glad it no longer held the record.

I’ve been well over a hundred in BFA keys. Me and a few guildies were failing 10’s in season 2 rather spectacularly.
Hit 65 in a SD 6.
I stuck around to see if we could actually pull it off. And to see if the DK that died on every boss fight and then claimed “lag” would ever make it all the way through one.
We did clear it and he did not survive any boss battle.

Damn, that’s a lot. We had a good ~58 the first time we did a 15 Sanguine Deaths on Tyrannical. Took a lot of wipes for us to really learn the mechanics (and it was pre-nerfs).
Those are rookie numbers as I can solo that death count.
