I am curious what everyone’s Rating is after playing Solo RBG so far?
What strategies have you been using to get to that rating?

-someone who got 1570 then lost 100 points
my rating is currently 571 with a record of 6 win 59 loss
I belive there is a video guide on YouTube to explain all maps and the objectives, I advice thinking of them like randoms without premades, if You start losing like 2/3 games a Row Just take a 10 min break, to prevent queeing with the same Team mates (happend to me after several loses I notice I was getting paired with a Lot of the same guys that can’t use a defensive or stand in a mine kart)
Im 1670 with 40 games played and 20 wins
gonna start swapping characters back and forth after 3 losses. betweeen af and dh
I just reached a bit over 1600.
My advice is to stay positive with your team or at least don’t be negative.
And don’t give up and say “gg” after the first team fight.
Don’t play it like it’s arena or rated battlegrounds. It’s not. It’s blitz, the rules are different even from random battlegrounds. You’re going to have a miserable time if you can’t adapt.
Communicate. Call out incs, or call out what you’re going to do.
Don’t force yourself to be the leader. Just because you have 2400+ glad experience in a premade where you make all the rules doesn’t mean anyone is going to listen to you this time. Others may disagree with you, and it’s up to you to adapt to your team, not the other way around.
Be able to make your own decisions and adapt on the fly. Making a play for an objective can win you the match. CCing someone instead of trying to kill them can win you the match.
Focus on your own gameplay instead of worrying about the mistakes your team makes. It’s frustrating to see people ignoring objectives, but trash talking them in chat or calling them out on the forums isn’t going to help you or them win any games.
Remember that anyone can pick up a flag, cap a base, or carry an orb.
Sometimes an suboptimal play is better than making no play at all.
If no one is going to pick up the enemy flag in WSG, then you can go grab it.
Repeat that this isn’t arena or rated battlegrounds. You’re not going to have a healer with you 24/7. You’re not going to be able to rely on dampening to kill the enemy healer. You won’t always have your cooldowns available for every fight. Sometimes killing the enemy is a worse play than just keeping them away from the objective and sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself so your teammate can win.
Story time:
Silvershard Mines. We control top cart, enemy team controls the other two carts. If they cap both their carts, they win. Our cart will cap first and cause us to win.
We know this. We know the enemy team knows this. Everyone rushes to top cart.
We had 1 person already on the cart, and I made it there before anyone else on my team.
1, then 2, then 3, then 4 enemy players start coming up trying to make it past us on the bridge. I do everything I can to slow them down, rooting, cycloning, bear charging, knockback, vortex, etc.
I know I can’t stop everyone, so I purposefully allow 1 of the enemy players to go past me so that I can more reliably slow down the other 3.
I know that as long as my teammate can stand in the cart area and live long enough, the 1 enemy player won’t be able to take control of the cart before it’s capped.
At this point I am not trying to even do any damage. I am literally just spamming whatever slows and CC I have available to keep the other 3 players from reaching the cart before it gets capped.
I slow them down long enough for more members of both teams to arrive, it turns into a hectic brawl on the bridge but we cap the cart and win the match.
If I had made the decision to try to kill the enemy players, or if I had tried to spread my CC too thin to stop ALL of them, I might have not been able to stop any of them and 2 of them might have slipped past me and taken control of the cart.
I purposefully let an enemy player slip past, and I did not try to actually kill anyone, and that helped us win the match. Communication and teamwork won that match, not the damage meter.
But most of all: have fun and ignore the people who are saying blitz should be removed. They are just having trouble adapting to a new mode.
This.
Peaked at 2200-something early in the week, bouncing around at 2100 now
general rule? the more people have to say, the less they seem to be making plays
To climb rating in wow you can follow a general rule set.
All of this should boost your winrate to a high level. With the first two having the highest ability to influence.
Also since blizzard has stated sync queueing isn’t against the rules, if you want to be a scumbag you can sync queue.
This guy threw my first eots cos he wanted to cap a flag but still managed to continously play at 27 murmur
anything is possible
Your inability to preposition for the post-flag 2 cap is not my responsibility, Dora the Explorer. You win more games when you play reactively instead of typing essays about everything you perceive to be a bad play.
free win turtling and making the enemy team require you to cap the flag or steal it with 10+ stacks is the best strat and you get to do nothing but gold parse on the enemy team
u just dont wanna admit that you cant follow instructions for free wins
I hit just over 2100 earlier in the week but have had a terrible loss streak and am around 1900 right now working to climb back up. Regarding losses, usually a good idea to not try to continue playing if you are on a huge loss streak. You will just get more and more tilted and play worse, even if you aren’t noticing it.
But you gotta remember, it’s not even the second week of the season yet. Losses will happen, rating comes and goes. The best advice I think is to not worry so much about rating. Just play for fun, try to improve what you can and rating will eventually come.
I’m very well aware that a big part of the “rbg community” prefers “free wins” to actually playing meaningful games, but I do believe in you!
that’s pure cope - throwing for fun instead of playing smart & abusing the game mode to win. ye bro makes sense
It’s ok, Lakeverity, just duo que it up and get your free wins. Your attitude will never hinder you in a solo format!
your words betray you!
i’m 384 rating after 20 games because i lost 18 of them, my strategy is to go back to regular 3’s and ss where my contribution to the team can actually get me to win. Just played my first ss this season and went 5-1 because me being better than the other healer actually mattered, unlike in blitz. Never playing this mess of a game mode ever again, whoever thought it would be a good idea to drop 8 randoms on an objective based game mode needs to never make a game design related decision ever again.
ur the type of player who makes soloing as a healer miserable & the type of person that makes soloq mean nothing cos im at the mercy of coin flipping.
but i just know you havent made the same mistake on eots again which is the funniest part of this conversation
you’re the fella that is ranting on Sunday about something that happened in the first 3 minutes of a game on Tuesday that could have been easily recovered by a cross-map base cap if you and your friend hadn’t immediately turned into stationary chat bots the second the game shifted outside your predictions.
And I love that for you.
I’ve won multiple EOTS games with early caps followed by 2 capping the other teams bases. That’s a more reliable strategy than 2 capping at the start, albeit less safe than the slow route.
I went on a horrible loss streak but am 1635 at 1900mmr.
Play obj and avoid teamfight.
ok cool digression didnt know u packed mobile goal posts in ur bag
needing to recover cos some1 ints is a bad thing regardless of the outcome later on.
we played the game til the end?
play smarter not harder
agreed playing for 2 cap is bad. whats ur pt? or do u think thats what im saying?
