What is your most memorable quest?

What is your most memorable quest you’ve done? Whatever the reason what quest sticks out to you the most?

For me my most memorable one would be the Horde quest in Hillsbrad Foothills called Welcome to the Machine. What I love about it is that you play the role of the quest giver and have to give out quests to three NPCs which represent different stereotypical players.

Best part is this quest is essentially Blizzard poking fun at their own playerbase especially with the third NPC you give a quest to Johnny Awesome decked out in full heirlooms using the Celestial Steed store mount.

He even gets mad that the quest you give him is too easy and not challenging that he is going to go on the forums and complain:

“I will do this ONE thing that you ask of me, quest giver. Pray I find more menial tasks to accomplish or you will be hearing from me again and I assure you that my commentary on forums of public opinion will be most unkind.”

Definitely a favorite quest and I wish there were others like it where you play the role of the quest giver and just the humor involved with making fun of your own playerbase

Anyone else like this quest or what other memorable or favorite quests do you like?

I agree, Gabrath. That quest is easily the most entertaining quest of all time.

A good 2nd place would be for the Dwarf in the Outhouse. Hard to imagine Silk cloth doing a good job in there…

Omg lol totally forgot that one :joy:

90% of the players are hamsters that dont read quests, only do PVP lol and or m + , pretty hard to get an answer.

True and especially with add-ons that pretty much accept and turn in quests for you and markers that tell you everything.

still sad we did’nt see him in the shadowlands… he would’ve been great to see in maldraxxus…

Verigan’s Fist was always a lot of fun, and it’s a shame it got taken away but it was brought back in Classic so there’s that.

Oh man, I can’t pick just one: one funny, one serious:
Funny: The Day That Deathwing Came Cataclysm Badlands - the stories are so good and it’s super fun to role play them
Serious: Cursed to Wither quest line Legion Azuna - I felt like Eminem at the end of Stan “Damn’”

Little Pamela’s questchain is way up there on my list, so is Crusader Bridenbrad’s questline. 10/10, just amazing.

Mankrik’s Wife, was sad when I found her dead :frowning:

(Also finding her was a pain in the rear back in 2005 without quest finder, barrens chat ended up helping)

Jonny Awesome is my hero!

I love in the Illidan Legion quest line, when you go to the black temple - he is AFK in the back of the raid.

My favorite though is in (I think) the blasted lands

Where you have a dwarf, an orc, and a gnome telling tall tales about how they punched deathwing in the face.

By far the most fun quest in the game.

That’s the one!!!

Zebra Hooves.

Mainly it didn’t make sense and I hated it.

Reason why it is memorable? Because looking back at it, it was pretty goofy.

That quest in Thrallmar where you had to shift through felhound poop for keys…

That one quest in revamped WPL where you bring a druid in training for some experience in the field and he keeps moonfiring himself HaHaHa

The most memorable quest for me was “Going Bearback” just because of the name he he. Sadly that quest got renamed recently.
