What is your main pet, and why?

For me, I use Arcturis. Dwarf walking with a bear is iconic as it’s shown in the first cinematic ever debuted in World Of Warcraft. I like to think of my dwarf and Arcturis as an older version, where the dwarf aged, and his faithful bear companion died on the battlefield, yet lives on with a form that transcends death.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else has a backstory for what pet they use. It’s a rarity to see a hunter today with that kind of vision.

I use Arcturis because I like bears.

Loqnahak, + I change my pet with my transmogrification. I like to accessorize!

Hutia because she’s a spirit beast that is both easy to distinguish in the visual clutter of battle, and small enough that she doesn’t obscure the enemies. Also, she’s adorable. During Legion, I paired her with Gumi.

Hroth is my main pet. I liked the white fur matched to my white beard. Also fit well with Dun Morogh and all the snow. Also, like you said, a dwarf and a bear are so iconic.

I really like your idea behind having Arcturis. I’ve thought of something similar when discussing RP with a friend of mine. I’d like a mechanical bear hunter pet. The idea being if Hroth died in battle or is just too injured to be saved his soul goes into a mechanical body.

I run ‘’ the beast’’ when I’m beast mastery. Two headed white core hound. Otherwise I like the challenge catches. I’ve got all the spiders, or had them, from firelands when it was relavent. Savage from panda land. Bloodtooth from panda land. Most of the spirit beasts. Depends on my spec usually and whaat I need anymore though

As BM I switch between Loque and Gon (renamed him to Grongo… +1 if anyone knows where I got the name from) randomly. I have an Argus Nether Ray should a lust/heroism be needed or for while I’m running around in Survival.

I also keep one of the brown Draenor wolves with me that I named after a doggo of mine that ran off sometime back. I could probably just go ahead and put her in the stable since the Nether Ray is just a better option with its magic and enrage dispel, but the thought of doing so makes me a little sad.:pensive:

I raised and released 2 turtles in real life, I decided to tame turtle in WoW.

Red Eyes Smooth Green Shell Dragon Turtle(Ghamoo-Ra) is my favorite pet and I named that turtle as Bluescreen.

Even if turtle is not the best tank in BfA, I still use him sometimes.

While soloing in the world, I use the White Corehound, named Cerberus. While in LFR/Raids, I use the Spirit Bear named DeadDruid…

I also carry Fenrir and my most prized pet, Mulgore Flame Boar.

Forever alone since i play marksman.
When i do use a pet its a raptor for pvp for mastercall/mortal strike and i use the skullripper model pet from wod since it matches my skullripper mount.
Pve i run a bat for dispel/lust/leech whenever im doing solo conent.

I feel like you really need 2 main pets, a spirit beast and a lust. Different ones for different situations. I use the white core hound for my lust pet. Core Hounds are really tanky and need almost no healing which I like a lot and the white two headed dog looks coolest imo. Loqnahak is my spirit beast cuz of course he is

Really don’t have one at the moment until 8.1.5 when I get my Hati back and he will be my main pet again.

I use a raptor named Coast so I can have Master’s Call & Mortal Wounds. It’s just the most optimal.

I started using my lightning with (forget his name) because of the wolf artifact. I had two wolves and wolf mount. I still mainly use him - man’s best friend.

I prefer a Blighthawk, although will run with Banthalos as BM.

As Bm I play a lot with my spirit crab (don’t remember the name) for pvp,Wpvp, raid, dungeon and some solo and now I switched to a corehound from a clefthoof for solo tanking even if I noticed that clefthoof require less healing from mend pet, as a matter of fact I use men’s pet more with corehound.

My most used (and first tamed) pet, since I started my hunter in BC, was a red lynx from eversong woods. Sadly I havn’t used him in BFA, because blizzard decided to make cats useless.

I have the Squawks parrot mount and a matching parrot pet because it looks funny and I like being treated to non stop bird screams.

I use a rhino I’ve named Akali, because rhinos have the best abilities for WQ questing, which is a lot of what I do.
