Void elf, void elf is best everything on Alliance
I like Night Elf Hunters. They have naturally accustomed themselves to the ways of the wild, and bonding with their Saber pets. Kind of wish I had one, to be honest, but I already have my Alliance Hunter slot taken.
Probably Night elves and Worgen
I like Draenei surv hunters that I can pretend are rangari.
Why is it elves always seem to take the top spot in these?
If the answer can be Gnome then the answer is Gnome.
Void elves… :).
But dwarf and night elf are good options too
Lorewise the alliance has a lot of great races hunters, they are Night Elves, Worgen, Draenei, Dwarves, lightforged and Kul’tirans are the best hunters.
Night Elves have a long hunting tradition, improving their skills over centuries , not to mention the best knowledge of Azeroth’s wilds and nature.
Worgen were not only already great hunters as Gilneans but turned into wolves they know hunt with their heightened senses and greater attunement with nature.
Draenei have the Rangari, their ranger division of hunters who have conquered the wilds of many planets including savage Draenor and now Azeroth, plus being technologically advanced.
Kul’tirans hunt sea monsters.
Dwarves are classic Hunters, their mountaineers have no peer when it comes to hunt in the cold.
Lightforged have been hunting the Legion.
You forgot the High elves
High-void Elves do have a big ranger tradition for sure, the original hunters of warcraft in fact.
Void elves were former Blood Elves and theres the whole thing about Rangers
And Night elves live mostly in the wild so being good hunters is pretty much a given
And Worgen are hunters by nature
Yeah, we do make really good rangers on the Horde side as it suits us really well as Hunters, but Void Seem to do it better in style.
i feel pretty disconnected from my hunter. havent taken him seriously in a long while. while hes ne he was also my very first character made back in 05 lol. if i did have to choose a race , i do think ne is up there near the top.
bc the core values and mentality of an elf have always been founded on serenity, gracefulness, speed, agility, and harmony. these founding characteristics are also displayed externally by their choice of fashion, and the slender shape of their bodies. to be a good hunter, you have to have an inner peace that allows you to focus in on your target despite the chaos storming around you; a peace that elves uniquely have - aided by their age and experience. this is why if a human and an elf ever got in a fight, the elf would probably win. if it weren’t for sylv cheating in her fight with saurfang, the cinematic would be a great example of how brute force paired against speed and agility is destined to fail.
To be fair, Saurfang was far from his prime. If he was younger and Sylvanas didn’t have a death nuke on command chances are he’d have won.
Woof!

I have 2 hunters! Don’t mind the eyepatch, I tried to hug my corehound and a spike stabbed me…
idk about that. saurfang is an orc, and despite his long experience in battle, the battle style of the orcs is brutality and bluntness. they rely on their strength alone. sylv on the other hand has had a significantly longer amount of time to hone her battle skills, making up for the strength she lacks with skill and speed. her elder sister alleria was involved in the troll wars which took place 2800 years ago, so sylv (being the middle sister) has to be at least a century or two old.
what good is strength when you’re too slow to hit your target?
not to mention some elves (night elves) are pretty much on par strength wise with orcs. idk about thalassians…
Can someone smarter then me please defend Orcish battle strength here? I know that there’s an argument here but my stupid brain can’t put it into words.
Best I can come up with is while Orcs rely on brute strength it doesn’t mean they aren’t skilled with their weaponry.
