Dun morogh, ashenvale, and winterspring.
I like snowy areas, dun morogh was my first starting zone. and i have fond memories of world pvp in ashenvale.

Probably the Night Elf starting zone, for nostalgic reasons.
Feralas, something about the music and the atmosphere gets me every time. In legion I would spend time chilling there, because druids could travel through the emerald dream gates.
It was really bittersweet spending time there in legion though, it was still just a beautiful, but there was a hollow emptiness to it. The zone felt dead because it lacked importance.
Canât wait for every zone to be brought to life again. And by that I mean, there will be people grinding there, farming relevant mats, grouping up to get ready for dungeons, questing, fishing, etc.
as a PvPer what other zone could I say but Hillsbrad Foothills and South Shore vs Tarren Mill
Oh man I forgot about Stitches. Low level elite boss that needs half the zone to take him down.
Itâs like⊠stuff to do⊠before a sub-par end game. I forget what itâs like.
Canât wait!
Wasnât stiches the wife of the darkshire mayor?
The embalmer guy made him a âgiftâ to the mayor.
âPrior to Patch 4.0.3, Stitches was spawned behind Abercrombieâs shack, northeast of the Raven Hill Cemetery, after completing [30] Translation to Ello. Stitches would then patrol down the road through Duskwood to Darkshire. This triggered an event, spawning two sets of Night Watch guards to defend the road to Darkshire, one at the camp across from the VulâGol Ogre Mound, and another outside of The Rotting Orchard. Without player aid, Stitches would decimate both sets of guards, and continue to Darkshire. It was highly common for players to die to Stitches, due to him being an Elite Level 35 mob in an at the time Level 18-30 zone.â
lol highly common for players to die⊠it was great. Like a Fel Reaver in Hellfire.
I canât wait to see the skeletons littering the ground again. To laugh about it then end up with the same fate.
I remember on the classic demo I seen a hunter pull 2 zebra and a sunscale raptor. He tried to run but nope he died lol!
Feralas. When I think of how much fun leveling my first toon up was i always get flashbacks of that zone first.
Elwynn Forest & Mulgore
Astranaar. Such an amazing zone for the first play-through experience.
Feralas, the music mainly.
Also, I always loved the Feel of Azshara. So mysterious.
Ever since Cata ended I have been hoping and praying they would revert Kal and the EK since it was now âhealedâ after DW was killed. Nope! Still have to deal with the stupid new world every day. SadâŠ
Azeroth is known for many beautiful places and nasty ones (undead zones cough) yet for me there are 4 magical places that take the top spots.
For Alliance:
Teldrassil
Ashenvale
For the Horde:
Truly these dry lands were very fun to travel. I enjoyed the valley of trials immensely and falling behind the mountains to the sea pointing to ratchet. Going swimming to the troll islands were dangerously exciting. The razor hill quests were really fun too. I remember the long walk to Orgrimar which was a very impressive city when I first encounter it. There I saw Horde was not as soft as the Alliance side.
Iconic. My second favorite, I enjoyed this more as an alliance than a horde player. Escaping the guards at the gate on Ashenvale and finally being in a Horde zone for the first time was unique. I never felt so alone and scared as I did in Barrens. So many hordes saw me and would come after me, but cat form with speed running the entire map, attacking then stealthâŠmy goodness. The vast size and the amount of quests were pretty fun too. I firmly believe the reason I also enjoyed it a lot was due to my druid, I am sure spellcasters and some melee classes didnât have much fun walking so much ( I could be wrong of course).
For classic WoW I will still be Alliance, send me a message when you want to get your green azz kicked on Ashenvale.
Hinterlands and UnâGoro for sure.
This is easy STV without a doubt. I love booty bay and the pirate theme. I also really liked Hillsbrad Foothills it was such an immersive zone that most people got their first dose of hardcore pvp. Also I was a warrior and that iconic warrior quest line is here. It gets hard to chose after these. So many memories and hours of exploring make it next to impossible to chose. I guess if I had to choose another it would be barrens even as an alliance player. The pvp here was so memorable. Cross roads holds a place in my heart for my first huge world pvp experience. Started with a few of us ganking some horde who then got their friends. We got ours. They must have spammed trade because they came back with even more. So we got more. Next thing I know it seemed like the whole server converged on the crossroads and it spread throughout the barrens. Iâll never forget it.
Winterspring
I loved the first Warcraft cinematic where the Dwarf hunter is walking in a snowstorm with his bear pet towards Ironforge.
Thousand Needles. The solitude, the lonely music, the vast vistas combined to just feel right to me. I hearthed at Freewind Post for the longest time even though it wasnât all that convenient. It just felt like home to me.
I would have to say Darkshore and Duskwood at low level, Winterspring for near to/max level.
I would go out of my way on my human/dwarf characters to make the run menenthil harbor just so I could go level in Darkshore. Then Iâd bring them back just so I could level through Duskwood.
There was so much variety and in depth quests in Duskwood, with the Emblamer, Stalvan, Mor-Ladim questlines.
Of course there was Stitches whom at least one could know when he was coming thanks to the zonewide yell. Mor-Ladim while not quite on Stiches level was more like a sneaky assassin that would 1 shot you in the back if one wasnât paying attention because he was elite and several levels higher than the rest of MoBs there. The original Stalvan questline was rather disturbing.
