A lot of my other favs are games I haven’t actually played myself. Like No More Heroes. I can’t play that cuz carpal tunnel. Or I just can’t get a physical copy like the Silent Hill series. No I’m not buying the “remastered” collection.
Oh its even creepier in the remake from what I’ve seen.
You know how the chainsaw ganado has a bag over his head? Well if you look at the remake. They pretty much imply that they do that because their Las Plagas popped out their head and now they need something to cover up from the sun. Since they can only be out at night.
And after you survive that. You get the choice of 2 routes. One has you face a El Gigante in a close space. Or the other route where you fight 2 female chainsaw Ganados and a small mob of regular Ganados.
And if you want good treasure, you do both routes XD
i’m not much of a gamer anymore, i think by most standards i would have never been considered a gamer. But there are two games I’ve been playing for ~20 years and that’s WoW and Subspace Continuum (considered to be one of the world’s first MMOs), which my first ?usage (subspace’s /played) is Feb 2002.
Just to name some of the more recent ones -
Elden ring. Definetly deserved GoY award …one of the best games ive ever played.
And during the SL s4 drought ive found an unbeliveable time sink game called Satisfactory.
If you have creative mind, like sandbox games, automatization and exploring…this is the best game in this genre on the market…by far…unmatched.
Favorite is hard to tamp down on, a lot of memories behind a lot of games for one reason or another.
Hollow Knight is my most recent favorite. Absolutely blew me away how much went into that game.
Tales of Symphonia was a huge part of my childhood. The game has lots of secrets and side content to do, plus a smidgen of variance in story based on choices made.
Chrono Trigger is mostly a nostalgia trip, but has a lot of different endings and also tons of side content to do.
Earthbound…man I remember beating that game out of sheer dumb luck.
