What is your favorite class in terms of aesthetics and lore?

Just for fun, Regardless the current iteration, fun , functionality or your main class… what is your favorite class in terms of aesthetics and lore and why?

My favorite class is mage, arcane specially because I have always loved magic and harry potter since I was a child and arcane is the best aproach to “raw magic” instead using elements. A shame that I hate how arcane mage plays atm.

Mage I love them!

The elemental shaman is my favorite, and I think they botched the potential by tying it to Thrall. The Wildhammer are the reason I love the spec.

being a simple man trying to survive this chaotic world (of warcraft)

honestly points go out to the smaller races that dont have huge muscles like orcs/taurens or some magical power that makes them laugh at danger while wearing a dress.

just give me a gun and i will try an solve my own issues with giant monsters!

Mages have the intellect of a thousand men, all sapien sapien sapien physicists with no fear of death or realms beyond. They can alter time. Think about it. They don’t need a multi-billion dollars worth mile-wide machine. They don’t need to manipulate star sized objects moving at the speed of light either to achieve that. They need only their brains! I respect that.

And I kind of admire shamans for their bond with the secrets of nature to the point of harnessing elements, no less. Very mystical.

I love my Druid, buts starting to be a meme at this stage. I put in my time during vanilla and BC when druids were literally hybrid taxed into a support role. I put in the effort during the WotLK JFM rotation days. Cata was just… shudder. I don’t want to talk about cata. Came back at the end of legion and did feral, guardian, and balance mage towers because I’ll never heal anyway, then comes BFA and if you’re a Druid in group, you’re resto or about to get the boot. Season 1 of shadowlands, I thought, was perfect. Druids were strong, but not dominantly so. Top 5 on most fights, but not top 1. People still haven’t forgiven feral for BfA, though, so balance it is.

Then, it’s nuked from orbit by blizzard. Bombs dropped and nothing else was said. Are these changes there for comedic or shock value? Did someone misplace a decimal point in their math? What’s going on? You can’t just drop this and walk away for a week to start testing bosses.

I’m heartbroken, personally.

I think mage, warlock and death knight. Then after that problably druid and shaman. And rogue. I really like rogue…

Honestly, it’s easiest to say what I find the least interesting personally: Warrior (but probably only cause I used to be a warrior in so many old single player rpgs and I generally prefer using your brain, elements, nature, etc. over using your muscles)

I’m not sure what you could call a Felorc who replaces his fist with a blade but that would be the class I would play.

A bloodthirsty Felorc both hands replaced with bladed hands.

Paladins :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :sparkling_heart:

But my fav to play are DHs, they kind of feel like opposites teehee

Druid tier 1 and 2 were perfect for the class. Unmatched even today for class looks. Different forms is what drew me to play mostly druid. I think the orginal form models were better for class representation. They looked more beast like and there should be a toggle option available. The legion tower form was my biggest goal of the class. I accomplished it it under 2 hours of attempts.

Shadowhunter.

Playable? Hm, warrior and Shaman I guess. Even though I hated the look of the Warrior Order hall in Legion. I’m preferring something like the Warrior Island.

MoP hunters, I loved the stampede, I’d adore it even more with the new tameable models…

Shamans, probably. I just don’t like playing them, neither classic or current

Warriors.

I’ve always loved the look of shaman. Love their themed armours. Love the idea of charging up my weapons with lightning and calling upon the forces of the elements for aid, like an angry little Captain Planet.

But damn if The Judgment set still doesn’t look absolutely amazing!!

You would call him Kargath Bladefist
