There are a couple of things I consider to be “fun” in wow, and they are very few and far between. However, when I get them, they are moments I treasure. They are why I play the game.
-
Using devious devices like the swapblaster to kill people from my faction who are afk. Bonus if they AREN’T afk.
-
Generating major wtf moments for the opposite faction. Like the time a crew of 30 rogues descended on a quiet city, and emptied the town entirely. Not a single soul was left alive. The lowbies leveling there (not flagged for pvp) were most unimpressed.
-
Social trickery and its deviate delights. For example, the time when I and a crew of 3 rogues ganked players of another guild with Ny’leth sliver of nzoth. After the various players inquired as to why we were being such terrible people, and ganking our own faction, we informed them that <insert guild member’s name here> had put a bounty on their head. After 5 such cases, the unfortunate guildie was made guildless.

My definition of fun changes regularly. But it is NSFW 90% of the time.

Jumping into a portal and coming out the other side
So, going by what you listed, you play the game to make other people not want to?

To me fun in wow is being able to play different aspects of the game from open world to raiding and random bgs. It’s playing them with my toon being the best it can be and it doesn’t mean it has to be in the top 1% but it has to be enjoyable .
And I can do this with my friends/guildies even better. Fun is enjoying the game taking my own path to reaching my goals to get to where and what I want .

So the only enjoyment you get out of this game is making other people suffer?

Anything that makes me forget about my crippling student debt.
You cant put that off son
Fun is the opposite of much of WoW’s game design.

So…you find fun in trolling?
Personally I enjoy doing content with friends, clearing challenging content, and mount collecting.
M+ and raiding, mount collecting, and transmogging.
Essentially this. A feeling of agency, of being able to do what I like, without feeling railroaded into doing one thing or another in particular.
I like to feel as if I’m progressing in some way, even if it’s lesser, or another type of progression entirely, no matter what I do.

Wrath/Cata classes and gearing.
My definition of fun is questing with friends, doing a dungeon and getting good loot, or just chilling around chatting. I also enjoy WoW holidays.
I love killing alliance in sw and ironforge so fun
Doing dungeons, omg hunting, mount collecting, exploring and some occasional pvp when the mood strikes me!
Flying around and taking in the sights from on high.
The OP may have made this thread to brag (?) about his trolling, but I’ll answer truthfully:
I love making stories for my characters. It’s a big motivator for me learning how to draw. I want to be able to draw all of these characters as commissioning the amount that I have would cost me a small fortune. And because of that desire to write, I’m learning a new skill. So I’m having fun both inside and outside of the game.
I know, I’m weird.

Perhaps, though you do have to admit number 3 was pretty creative and funny.
