What is your biggest WoW Regret?

Did you miss your chance at something forever gone? Did you delete a beloved item or character that was unable to be restored? Did you server or faction transfer and leave a friend behind, never to be seen again? Did you waste years of your life trying to obtain a rare mount you never use (or never succeeded in getting?). Did you cancel your subscription for one month back in 2009, resulting in you missing out on the unbroken sub gift?

What is your biggest WoW regret you wish you could take back?

Edit: forgot to share mine. In 2017 I went through a really bad depression, not helped at all by spending a lot of time arguing on the forums. One argument with someone actually led me to delete the account I’d started back in 2004. It had an unbroken subscription and a lot of achievements, mounts and other things I’ll never see or get a chance at again. I only have myself to blame.

Edit 2: I was giving likes to everyone but I ran out. that’s silly.

I’d probably go with not grinding out the Zulian Tiger before it was removed.

Mid Wrath I quit in frustration (honestly I didn’t know how to play, so on me). I deleted my account too. My son was like “nooooooo, you had the turtle!”

They brought the Panther though, and it’s better, because it hasn’t the ridiculous faceplate.

Yes, not a lot looks better than Blood Elf + Oldstyle Nightsabre.

And only one way to currently get it: The Zulian.

But don’t you want solid black as a Death Knight anyway?

Oh, my biggest regret is not learning Draconic. I was around during the questline and even knew of it, but I didn’t know it taught you Draconic. Would have done it.

I also saw the Timelost Protodrake go by in Storm Peaks, and I was new, so all that happened was I thought, “Wow, look at all those pretty blue ones. That brown one sure is ugly; I wonder what’s wrong with him.” I don’t regret this too much because I don’t really want the mount. I don’t really use protodrakes, and if I did, it would be the green, which I have.

Not coming back to play MoP after I left in Cata.

Apparently, MoP live was a fun time.

I regret not PvPing more during Legion. I got all the shiny PvP Artifact weapon skins and just… stopped.
I’m sort of bummed that I didn’t stick around and commit to getting the titles and such before it became an absolute pain to get PvP gear and every rank of Honor became a chore.

the only real regret i have is missing that wod challenge thing. I stopped playing wow for like ten years and didn’t come back till legion. The challenge gave a cool armor set and the shoulder pads have these fur and horns on them and i think it’s the best in the game, but they were only there for a limited time. now if i want something like that i gotta use the battle lord set

Not playing during Mage Tower.

If I recall correctly they released an inferior colour version of everything they put in Challenge, though I could be thinking of MoP only.

Mm I’m not really bugged about missing most things. I do wish I’d actually tried to get the MoP challenge sets. Legion had recolors, but some of the original ones are really cool. And those phoenix mounts were nice too.

I’m pretty new, so not a whole lot to regret but having started mid last year, I wish I had used add ons earlier. They make gameplay so much more fun and also make playing some of the more challenging classes easier (Feral for example).

Not completing the mage tower in Legion. Now I cannot acquire the last artifact appearance for my paladin.

I was stubborn because I was more interested in doing mythic+ as a holy paladin. So now, I have to face with not being able to do the content.

Same here. I managed to get all the appearances on my main, but I found the tower so unpleasant and un-fun I refused to do it on any other character.

Now I’m playing other classes and I kinda wish I’d gotten the appearances.

My other regret is the time at the end of Legion when I dissolved a guild that had been around since TBC because the raid team had been taken over by ultra-right-wing God Emperor Trump-supporting meme trolls. Shoulda just kicked everyone and kept my damn guild.

I started playing for real (I only played the trial a few times during classic) during BC, specifically around the time Blizzard had that Olympic-based Battleground event going.

I could’ve done it, I stopped by the quest-giver several times throughout the event, but I never actually picked up the quests for the rewards because I assumed I had to be level 70 to actually take part. And then Blizzard went and never held the event again for some reason.

I’ll also add one for my brother: A few weeks before ZG was temporarily removed, he ran ZG with his girlfriend and had the Zulian Tiger drop. He gave it to her because she was a huge cats-lover. Halfway through MoP he found out she was cheating on him for two of the four-ish years they were together and dumped her. He has since moved on from the whole thing, but I think he’s still a little bitter about the Tiger, since he really wanted that mount back in the day.

Grinding all factions to exalted to unlock the Thin Kultirans in BFA to only find out there only fat pirates… SMH

He shouldn’t be bitter. You know why?

Because every time she gets on that mount, she thinks about it. She has to.

And who wouldn’t use that thing?

Hers has a little spike right smack in the middle of that saddle.
